There is no universal control change for rotating map puzzles: the remapping steps depend on the game and the platform. If you mean Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, camera rotation is a navigation feature, and players have reported changing bindings through the main-menu controls. Those reports are historical community guidance, not verified instructions for every current version or platform.
First, identify the game and platform
Before changing a control, confirm the game title, platform (such as PC or console), and, if relevant, the game version. A setting that exists in one edition may be absent or work differently in another. Also check whether the puzzle responds to camera rotation, character movement, or a separate interaction; rebinding general movement will not necessarily change the puzzle action.
The available information points to Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous as one possible match, but the phrase “rotating map puzzles” does not identify that game on its own. Owlcat’s developer discussion describes camera rotation as part of the game’s navigation design and mentions plans for sensitivity sliders and a compass: Owlcat Games.

Steam Community users have reported that changing key bindings from the main menu, before loading a save, worked for them. Treat this as a player-reported workaround rather than current official support guidance. Menu labels and available bindings can vary by platform and version.

- Return to the main menu before loading your save.
- Open the game’s control or key-binding settings and locate the camera-related actions.
- Assign an available key or button, checking that it does not conflict with another action.
- Load the game and test the new binding in a safe area before relying on it for navigation.
A Steam discussion also describes editing a local settings file to change a camera-up binding. That is an unofficial, historical report; the file location and whether the method works are not established for every platform or installed version. Understand what camera rotation does in Act 4
Community guidance connects camera orientation to movement across the shifting parts of Alushinyrra, the Act 4 city. If that is the puzzle you are solving, the camera control may affect how you navigate the map rather than act as a separate puzzle input. When a mod or remapping utility is involved
A community free-camera mod lists configurable keyboard and mouse camera controls and requires Unity Mod Manager. It changes camera behavior; it is not evidence that a mod is needed to remap the game’s normal controls. Check the mod page for current compatibility with your game version and platform before installing it: Nexus Mods.
Before using any third-party remapper or configuration change, check whether it affects the specific camera or puzzle action, whether it is supported on your platform, and how to undo it. Community-maintained control lists can help identify reported bindings, but they are not authoritative support documentation: Steam Community.

If the binding does not work
- Confirm you changed the camera action rather than a general movement or interaction control.
- Check for duplicate bindings that may cause another action to take precedence.
- Test from the main menu if an in-game change does not appear to save; this was reported by some Steam users, but is not guaranteed.
- On a console or another non-PC platform, do not assume that PC key-binding or file-edit instructions apply.
- If the available control menu does not expose the action, consult documentation for the exact game version and platform before trying a mod or editing a file.
