To redeem a code in Minecraft Dungeons II, open Settings → General, scroll to the bottom, enter the code, and press Enter or the equivalent button on your controller. This menu path is reported by GamesRadar’s guide; Minecraft’s official instructions describe several cosmetics that are claimed through account or edition entitlements instead.
Enter a code in Minecraft Dungeons II
- Launch Minecraft Dungeons II and open Settings.
- Select the General tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter your unique code in the redemption box.
- Submit with Enter on a keyboard or the equivalent controller button, then check whether the reward appears.
The menu location and submit action are reported by GamesRadar, not documented in the Minecraft official page reviewed here. If the menu labels differ in your version, check the current game interface rather than assuming the steps are identical on every platform.
Check whether the reward uses a code or an entitlement
Some rewards do not use the in-game code box. Minecraft’s official Minecraft Dungeons II page distinguishes account-linked rewards and edition contents from code redemption.

| Reward | How to claim it | Account or timing detail |
|---|---|---|
| Corrupted Creeper Cape | GamesRadar describes this as a code reward; enter an already-obtained code in Settings → General. | GamesRadar reported the listed distribution campaigns were no longer offering new codes when its guide was accessed. Campaign availability can change; do not assume a new code is available. |
| Hero Cape | Not a code-box reward. Play Minecraft Dungeons, then sign into Minecraft Dungeons II with the same Microsoft account. | Minecraft states the account must sign in before December 31, 2026. Prior play through Game Pass or Steam qualifies when using that same account. Joining a friend’s co-op session can also provide the entitlement without owning either game, using the same account. |
| Twisted Cape | Not the standard code-box process. Sign into Minecraft Dungeons II with the Microsoft account associated with the pre-order, confirm the item was acquired, then check Bedrock and/or Java on that account. | Pre-order entitlement; follow the account check after launch. |
| Soul Cape and other Deluxe Edition cosmetics | Edition contents rather than promo codes. | The Deluxe Edition includes the Soul Cape, Blub pet, four additional hero skins, and DLC 1 and 2 as released. |
If a code does not work
- Confirm that you entered the complete code correctly and submitted it using Enter or the controller equivalent.
- Check whether the reward is actually tied to a code. The Hero Cape, Twisted Cape, and Deluxe Edition cosmetics use entitlement checks or edition ownership instead.
- If you are seeking a Corrupted Creeper Cape code, note that GamesRadar reported its described campaigns were no longer distributing new codes when its guide was accessed. An existing code may still be redeemable, but availability should not be assumed.
