To place sponsor slides between event replays, publish each slide as its own video, add the slide videos and replays to a YouTube playlist, then drag them into the sequence you want. This changes the playlist order; it does not insert slides into the replay files themselves.
Before you build the playlist
Confirm that each event replay is available
In YouTube Studio, open Content and select the Live tab to find livestreams and their archives. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, but this is not guaranteed. Streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends keeping a local recording as a backup.
Make each sponsor slide a separate video
If you want a static sponsor slide to appear between replays, publish it as a separate video and add it to the playlist. YouTube’s playlist controls let you arrange videos, but they do not provide a special control for inserting a slide into the middle of an existing replay. If the slide must appear inside a replay, edit the video file and upload a revised version instead.
Create or open the event playlist
Create a new playlist in YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a desktop browser.
- Select Create, then New playlist.
- Enter a title and description, choose the playlist visibility, add the replay and sponsor-slide videos, then create the playlist.
Edit an existing playlist
- In YouTube Studio, go to Content → Playlists.
- Find the event playlist, open its menu, and choose Edit on YouTube.
Arrange the replays and sponsor slides
- Open the playlist’s video list.
- Drag entries up or down until they appear in the desired sequence. For example: Replay 1 → Sponsor slide → Replay 2 → Sponsor slide → Replay 3.
- Open the playlist as a viewer and check the order shown there.
Playlist owners can change the stored order; viewers may also temporarily reorder items in the playlist panel for their own viewing. That temporary viewer change is not an edit to your saved playlist. YouTube’s documentation does not guarantee identical display or autoplay behavior across every device or YouTube client, so check the viewer-facing playlist on the devices that matter to your audience.

Handle sponsor disclosures and ad-format rules
If a video contains paid promotion or another covered commercial relationship, use the paid promotion control in that video’s details. YouTube displays a disclosure label when the control is enabled. You remain responsible for any additional disclosure duties that apply where you or your audience are located.
A disclosed sponsor slide is not automatically the same thing as inserting an advertiser-supplied commercial break. YouTube’s policy restricts third-party promotions, sponsorships, or ads in formats where YouTube offers a comparable ad format, including video ads and bumpers. It allows paid product placements and endorsements subject to its advertising policies and applicable legal obligations. Check the current policy against the specific sponsor material before publishing.
