You can print from a Samsung tablet over Wi-Fi by enabling a print service in Settings, then choosing Print from a supported app. If your printer is not available wirelessly, Samsung also documents USB printing with a suitable OTG adapter, and you can save a file as a PDF instead of printing it on paper.
Set up a print service on your tablet

Open Settings and search for Printing. The menu path can differ by tablet and software version, so Settings search is the simplest place to start.

Open the Printing page and enable Default Print Service if it supports your printer. Samsung says compatible printers may appear without an additional plugin.

If your printer needs its own service, tap Download plugin, select the service recommended for your printer, and install it from Google Play. Return to Printing and turn on the installed service.

Samsung’s instructions for different devices show menu labels such as Settings > More connection settings > Printing and Connections > More connection settings > Printing > Add service. The labels are not universal across Galaxy tablets.
Connect to a wireless printer
Turn on the printer and configure its wireless connection using the printer maker’s instructions. Then open the enabled print service on your tablet. Many Samsung device instructions describe finding printers on the same Wi-Fi network, but discovery depends on the printer, service, and network; not every model is supported.

When the printer appears, select it. If it does not, check whether the printer is connected to the intended network and whether the correct service is enabled. Some Galaxy software offers an option to add a printer by IP address. The printer’s manufacturer can confirm its wireless setup and compatibility.
Print a document, photo, email, or web page

Open the item in an app that supports printing.

Look for Share > Print, More options > Print, or a print command in the app’s own menu. For example, Samsung notes that Word may provide printing through its own menu. Some apps do not offer printing.

In the print screen, tap Select printer and choose your printer. If needed, use All printers to scan for available printers.

Open the settings arrow to review the options your printer supports, such as paper size, color, and orientation. Available settings vary by printer.

Use a USB printer
Samsung documents connecting a USB printer to the tablet’s charging port with an OTG adapter and a suitable USB cable. With DeX, Samsung says the printer can instead connect to a USB port on the DeX accessory. There is no single adapter or cable that fits every setup: match the adapter to the tablet’s port and the cable to the printer.

If you need a digital copy rather than a paper printout, open the printer selector and choose Save as PDF. Tap the PDF icon, choose where to store the file, and save it.

Troubleshoot common printing problems

No printer appears: Confirm the printer is on and configured for wireless use, and check that the appropriate print service is enabled. Try All printers or, if shown, add the printer by IP address. Consult the printer maker for model-specific setup and compatibility.

The app has no Print command: Check its Share menu and More options menu. The app may not support printing.

USB printing does not work: Check that the OTG adapter fits the tablet’s port and that the cable fits the printer. Samsung’s instructions call for suitable hardware rather than one universal accessory.

Your Settings path looks different: Search Settings for Printing. Samsung’s support guidance and device manuals use different menu paths on different devices and software versions.
