Scopa Più offers browser play and friend challenges; other options listed by app stores include friend matches and local connections, but availability and compatibility vary by device and region.
Choose an online Scopa service your group can use
These services describe different ways to meet up online. Their features come from their own websites or store listings, so check the current listing and interface for your device before planning a match.

Do not assume that players on different platforms can join the same match. The listings do not establish universal cross-platform play; confirm everyone can use the same service and mode.
Set up a match with your friends
- Choose a service. Pick one that everyone can access, and decide whether you want browser play, app-based play, or a local connection such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth where supported.
- Connect with one another. Use the service’s friend or multiplayer options. Scopa Più documents friend-list challenges, while the other listings describe friend matches or local connection methods. Exact invite steps can change, so follow the controls currently shown in the app or website.
- Agree on the game. Check player count, whether you are playing Scopa or a variant such as Scopone, and any scoring or rule options the service offers.
- Start the match. Once everyone is in the same game and understands the selected rules, begin play.
Check privacy and chat settings
If you use Scopa Più, its FAQ says players can control whether their online status is visible to everyone, friends only, or nobody. It also describes controls for friend requests, private messages, and chat. Settings and labels may change; check the current controls in the service. For other apps, review their available privacy and communication settings before inviting friends.

Know the basic Scopa rules before you play
Scopa is played with a 40-card deck. A common setup, described by Pagat’s Scopa rules, deals three cards to each player and places four cards face up on the table. On a turn, play one card from your hand:
- If it matches the value of a single table card, capture that card.
- If no single card matches, you may capture a set of table cards whose values add up to the played card.
- If neither capture is possible, leave your played card face up on the table.
When a capture takes every card off the table, it is a scopa (a sweep). After everyone plays their three cards, the dealer deals another three-card hand to each player. Continue until the deck is exhausted. At the end, any cards still on the table go to the last player or team that made a capture; taking those leftover cards with the final play does not count as a scopa.

Agree on scoring and variants
Under the scoring described by Pagat, a deal can award one point each for a scopa, the most cards, the most coins (also called diamonds), the seven of coins, and the best primiera. A tie for most cards or most coins earns neither side a point in that category. The first player or team to reach 11 cumulative points wins, with additional deals played as needed.
Regional rules and house rules differ. Before the first deal, make sure the group is using the same variant and that everyone understands any changes to scoring or play. An app’s rules may not match the version a friend learned at home.
