To pair Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 with a phone, turn the headphones off, hold Volume + until the LED flashes red and blue and you hear “pairing,” then select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz in the phone’s Bluetooth settings. To add a second device, use Shokz’s MultiPoint setup, which requires entering pairing mode again for that device.
Pair OpenRun Pro 2 with your phone
- Turn off the headphones.
- Enter pairing mode. Press and hold Volume + until the LED flashes red and blue alternately and the voice prompt says “pairing.”
- Choose the headphones on your phone. Open the phone’s Bluetooth settings, scan for devices if needed, and select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.
- Confirm the connection. Shokz says a connected prompt and blue LED indicate successful pairing.

Connect a second device with MultiPoint
Shokz’s usage guide describes MultiPoint as connecting the headphones to two devices. Follow its button-based setup sequence:
- Start with the headphones off. Hold Volume + until pairing mode begins.
- While pairing the first device, hold Multifunction and Volume +.
- Turn the headphones off, then enter pairing mode again by holding Volume + until the pairing prompt.
- On the second device, open Bluetooth settings and select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.
- Turn the headphones off and on again. Shokz says they will then be connected to both devices.
Shokz also says MultiPoint Pairing can be managed through the Shokz app. Its OpenRun Pro 2 usage guide, published November 14, 2025, describes the feature this way: “Using MultiPoint Pairing, you can effortlessly switch between two devices.”

What to expect when switching devices
The documented setup connects the headphones to two devices, but the reviewed OpenRun Pro 2 materials do not establish which device takes over as the active audio source or specify a manual switching gesture. Do not assume the most recently used device will always become active. For MultiPoint management, Shokz points users to the Shokz app; the headphones’ product page also lists MultiPoint as a feature.
Bluetooth specifications
Shokz Asia lists Bluetooth 5.3 and a stated wireless range of 33 ft (10 m) for OpenRun Pro 2. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent pairing or range test results. See Shokz Asia’s specifications.
