You can run a 24/7 Indian meditation music channel on YouTube by preparing a continuous audio-and-visual program, clearing the music rights for live and archived use, and broadcasting through a live-stream encoder. YouTube does not provide a special “24/7 radio” mode or guarantee that a broadcast will stay online. Your channel must be eligible to livestream, and music rights and Content ID handling need to be settled before launch.
What a 24/7 YouTube radio channel involves
This format is a continuous YouTube live stream carrying meditation music—such as instrumental, devotional, or ambient recordings—with a visual layer you own or have permission to use. An encoder sends the prepared program to YouTube. Keeping it live around the clock is an operating workflow, not a special YouTube feature: the encoder and stream need to keep running, and rights or platform interruptions can stop the broadcast.

YouTube supports encoder-based streaming, but its guidance does not prescribe a specific computer or hardware specification for this use. Choose equipment or a cloud workflow that can reliably run your audio and visual program; do not treat any particular device as a YouTube requirement.

Get the channel ready to livestream
- Verify the channel. YouTube requires a verified channel for live streaming. Follow the verification and live-stream setup prompts in YouTube Studio.
- Check for restrictions. The channel must not have a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days. Review YouTube Studio for current account or channel notices before scheduling a broadcast.
- Meet the age requirement. YouTube’s current live-stream guidance says streamers must be at least 16 years old.
- Choose an encoder workflow. For a prepared continuous music-and-visual program, an encoder is a practical choice. Configure the encoder to send the stream to YouTube using the stream key shown in YouTube Studio. Keep that key private; anyone who obtains it may be able to broadcast to your channel.
YouTube lists encoders as one streaming method; it does not promise uninterrupted service for any particular setup. Before going live, test the complete audio, visual, and encoder workflow with content you have rights to use.

Clear the music rights before building a playlist
For every recording and composition, obtain written permission that covers the actual uses you intend. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to hold necessary worldwide rights, including music rights from artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants, and to maintain applicable permissions and approvals.
Ask rights holders to confirm the scope in writing, including:

- The territories where the stream may be available.
- Use in a YouTube live stream, not just in an uploaded video.
- Whether the broadcast may be archived or replayed, if you plan to keep a replay.
- Monetization rights, if you intend to enable monetization.
- Public-performance and other relevant music rights.
- How the rights holder handles Content ID and whether it can add your channel to its allowlist.
Buying a track, crediting the artist, or seeing a “royalty-free” label does not by itself establish that your planned live, archived, and monetized uses are covered. YouTube’s guidance on finding safe music also cautions creators to check what a permission or copyright-safe label actually allows.

YouTube’s global terms do not settle which India-specific statutory licenses, collecting-society permissions, registrations, or other clearances apply to a particular repertoire. Before launch, ask the rights holders or qualified India-specific counsel to confirm the requirements and documentation for your music and territories.

Choose between original music and a licensed catalog

Reduce the risk of Content ID interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can interrupt a broadcast even when you have licensed the music if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel. Before your first stream, ask the rights owner or its representative to add your channel to the Content ID allowlist where applicable, and confirm that the permission covers the exact recordings you will use.
- Send the rights holder your channel details and the list of licensed recordings.
- Request confirmation that the channel has been allowlisted in Content ID, where the rights holder uses that system.
- Run a test broadcast and monitor YouTube Studio for copyright warnings or other notices.
- If YouTube interrupts the live feed, check Studio for the warning or strike and follow the stated resolution process; do not simply restart with the same disputed material.
If you keep a replay, it may receive a Content ID claim after the live stream ends. The rights for an uninterrupted live broadcast do not automatically answer whether an archive can remain available, so settle archive use separately.

Make the channel meaningfully original
Copyright permission and YouTube Partner Program eligibility are separate questions. YouTube reviews monetization at the channel level for original and authentic content. Its policy identifies collections of songs from different artists, minimal edits, and repetitive or mass-produced material as monetization risks. Having permission to use a track does not guarantee that a channel built around playlists will qualify.
Build a channel with a clear creative contribution: produce or commission music, make original arrangements, add thoughtful programming or context where appropriate, and use visuals you own or have licensed. These choices can make the channel more distinctive, but no single addition guarantees monetization approval.

Understand monetization limits
If your channel qualifies and monetization is enabled, YouTube offers live-stream ad features and other monetization options. YouTube does not guarantee that each ad slot will serve, so continuous streaming is not a basis for promising or forecasting a particular income.
Creator Music is not a solution for licensing tracks in a live radio broadcast: YouTube describes its tracks as limited to long-form videos, not live streams. Its availability is also described as limited to U.S. YouTube Partner Program creators, with expansion pending. Check YouTube’s current usage details for any later availability changes.
Launch checklist
- Verify the channel and confirm there has been no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days.
- Prepare an audio program using music you made or have properly licensed, plus channel-owned or licensed visuals.
- Get written confirmation of territories, live use, archive use, monetization if intended, and other relevant rights.
- Confirm Content ID handling and arrange allowlisting with rights holders where applicable.
- Decide whether to retain the live archive and obtain the rights needed for that use.
- Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies separately from copyright clearance.
- Obtain India-specific confirmation of applicable music permissions before launch.
- Test the full encoder-to-YouTube workflow and monitor Studio during the broadcast.
