YouTube’s playlist Loop control repeats videos for an individual viewer; it does not create a looping live broadcast. StreamShark’s separate Live Scheduler can play a lineup of StreamShark Video on Demand (VoD) content as a live schedule and loop it continuously. However, StreamShark’s documented HLS and DASH feed links are not confirmed as directly compatible with YouTube Live. You can set up the schedule in StreamShark, but confirm the supported YouTube ingest or relay method with StreamShark before you publish.
What “loop a playlist on YouTube Live” means

In other words, a viewer can loop a YouTube playlist on their own device, while a channel operator needs a broadcast workflow to keep a live stream playing. StreamShark Live Scheduler addresses hosted playback of StreamShark VoD content; it is not the same feature as a YouTube playlist.
Set up a looping schedule in StreamShark
StreamShark’s support guide says Live Scheduler is available to customers on subscription plans with a Dedicated Server attached. Contact your StreamShark sales representative or account manager to confirm access and ask about a trial.
- Prepare eligible VoD videos. For new uploads, select the Live Scheduler HD encoding profile. For existing assets, change the profile in the asset settings. Videos must be active to be used in a Live Schedule.
- Create a Live Schedule. Choose a one-off schedule, a recurring schedule, or manual start, depending on when you want playback to begin.
- Enable the loop. For continuous playout, turn on Loop Content.
- Add and order the videos. Select the eligible VoD assets and arrange them in the sequence you want viewers to see.
- Start playback. Select Go Live Now to start immediately, or let the schedule begin at its configured start time. With Loop Content enabled, the lineup continues until the broadcast is manually stopped.
- Retrieve the schedule feeds. Open the schedule’s Links tab and copy its HLS and DASH feed URLs. These are the documented StreamShark outputs; the guide does not say that YouTube can ingest them directly.
Confirm the YouTube delivery method before going live
YouTube’s encoder setup requires YouTube’s Live server URL and stream key to be entered into an encoder. StreamShark’s Live Scheduler guide separately documents HLS and DASH feed links, but the available guides do not explain how to connect those links to YouTube’s ingest. They do not confirm direct compatibility or specify a relay or encoder configuration.

Before announcing a YouTube broadcast, ask StreamShark support or your account manager whether your plan supports a YouTube destination and, if so, which encoder, relay, or integration they support. Do not assume that pasting a StreamShark HLS or DASH URL into YouTube, or entering a YouTube stream key in StreamShark, is a supported setup. Do not confuse Channel playlists with Live Scheduler
StreamShark Channel playlists organize content shown in a channel. Their controls include pinned content, automatic additions, tags, and playback order. That organization feature is not described as a YouTube Live broadcast workflow. For a scheduled live lineup, use the Live Scheduler instructions above rather than treating a Channel playlist as a broadcast.
