Plan charging around your itinerary: bring cables and a wall charger that match your devices, use a power bank when you’ll be away from outlets, and check plug and voltage compatibility at international destinations. For flights, keep spare batteries and power banks in the cabin, and check each airline’s current limits.
Build a charging plan around your devices and itinerary
Start with the devices you’ll actually bring and how long you expect to be away from a wall outlet. Phones, laptops, tablets and cameras may use different ports or have different charging needs, so a connector that fits is not by itself proof that a charger will deliver the rate a device supports.
- List each device and its charging port. Note whether it uses USB-C, another USB connector, or a device-specific charger, and pack the matching cables.
- Choose a wall charger for the devices. A multi-port USB-C charger can reduce the number of chargers when devices share USB-C, but check its total output and the requirements of each device. When several devices charge at once, the charger’s output is shared according to its design.
- Plan for time away from outlets. Consider a power bank sized for the trip and verify its printed watt-hour rating against every airline’s rules.
- Check destination outlets and charger labels. For international travel, confirm the outlet configuration and the input range printed on each charger before choosing an adapter.
- Keep spare batteries accessible in the cabin. If your carry-on is taken at the gate or planeside, remove power banks and other spare batteries and keep them with you.
USB-C charging depends on the charger, cable and device working together. IEC 63002:2025 describes interoperability for external power supplies and power sources used with consumer devices implementing USB Type-C, while recognizing that cable assemblies and device capabilities matter to end-to-end charging. It does not mean every USB-C combination will charge at the same rate or at a device’s maximum rate. Choose a compatible USB-C wall charger for travel and cable based on the needs of your specific devices, not connector shape or a headline wattage alone.
Use a power bank when outlets aren’t available
A power bank is a spare lithium battery for air-travel purposes. Compare options by their printed Wh rating, physical size, capacity for your itinerary, supported ports and charging protocols, and whether the rating can be determined from the label. Check the rules of every airline on your trip before flying; some carriers may set tighter limits than the general FAA guidance.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Read the watt-hour rating, not just the mAh figure
Airline battery limits are expressed in watt-hours (Wh). If the label gives capacity in milliamp-hours (mAh), divide by 1,000 to convert to amp-hours (Ah), then multiply by voltage: Wh = V × Ah. The FAA’s example is a 12-volt battery rated at 8 Ah, which equals 96 Wh. A mAh number alone is not enough to establish a battery’s Wh rating because the voltage is also needed.
Keep spare batteries and power banks in carry-on baggage
Under FAA guidance for passenger aircraft, spare lithium batteries—including power banks and portable chargers—must travel in the cabin, not checked baggage. Protect them from damage and short circuits. FAA examples include keeping batteries in retail packaging, covering terminals, using a battery case or sleeve, or placing each one in a separate bag. If a carry-on bag is checked at the gate or planeside, remove its spare batteries and power banks and keep them in the cabin.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Check airline battery rules before flying
The FAA’s general limits for passenger aircraft distinguish batteries by watt-hours. Airline approval is required for the 101–160 Wh category, and batteries over 160 Wh are forbidden on passenger aircraft. The FAA also describes a limit of two spare 101–160 Wh lithium-ion batteries per person, with airline approval. Airlines may impose stricter capacity or quantity rules, so confirm the current policy with each operating carrier before departure.
| Battery rating | FAA passenger-aircraft guidance | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 0–100 Wh | Allowed | Carry spare batteries in the cabin and check the airline’s policy. |
| 101–160 Wh | Requires airline approval; FAA guidance describes a maximum of two spare lithium-ion batteries per person. | Obtain approval from the operating airline before travel. |
| Over 160 Wh | Forbidden on passenger aircraft | Do not bring it on the passenger aircraft. |
These are FAA guidelines, not a substitute for carrier rules or the requirements of a foreign jurisdiction. Installed batteries in devices such as phones, laptops, tablets and cameras should be carried in carry-on baggage. If a device is checked, FAA guidance says it must be completely powered off and protected against accidental activation or damage, subject to capacity limits. Damaged or recalled batteries that may spark or generate dangerous heat must not be carried unless they have been made safe or removed.

Some airlines also publish restrictions on using or charging power banks during a flight. Do not assume there is one universal onboard-use rule: check the current policy for your airline and itinerary.
Choose an international plug adapter without confusing it with a converter
A travel plug adapter changes the physical fit between a charger’s plug and a destination outlet; it should not be treated as a voltage converter. Before travel, identify the destination’s outlet type and check the voltage and frequency information for the destination along with the input range printed on each charger. Use an adapter that supports the destination outlet and your charger’s plug, and check grounding needs and the adapter’s current rating.

If a charger’s input rating does not cover the destination’s power supply, a plug adapter alone does not solve that mismatch. A separate voltage converter may be needed, but only use one if it is specifically designed for the equipment and destination. IEC 60884-2-5:2017 covers travel adapters within a defined scope—over 50 V and up to 250 V, at current ratings not exceeding 20 A—but it is not a destination-by-destination compatibility chart. Check your own equipment labels rather than assuming a universal adapter guarantees electrical compatibility.
