To join FaceTime from Android or Windows, open the link the host sent you in the latest Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, enter your name, allow microphone or camera access if prompted, then select Join. You may need to wait for the host to admit you. [Apple Support]
What you need before joining
You need a FaceTime link from the person hosting the call. On Android or Windows, Apple lists these requirements:
- A device running Android or Windows.
- A strong Wi-Fi or mobile internet connection.
- The latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- A built-in or connected microphone for audio. For video, you also need a built-in or connected camera.
Apple does not establish a camera as necessary for an audio-only call. If you want video and your device has no working built-in camera, a compatible connected camera may be an option; confirm it works with your device before buying or connecting one. [Apple Support]
Join a FaceTime call from Android or Windows
- Open the FaceTime link you received. If it does not open in Chrome or Edge, copy it and paste it into the latest version of either browser.
- Enter the name you want to use in the call, then select Continue.
- If prompted, allow the browser to use your microphone and camera. You can allow microphone access for audio; allow camera access if you want to join with video.
- Select Join. This sends a request to the host; it does not necessarily connect you immediately.
- Wait for the host to admit you. If you remain in the waiting state, contact the host using the same channel through which you received the link.
- When you are ready to leave, select Leave.

What you can do in FaceTime on the web
During a web call, Apple lists controls for muting or unmuting your microphone, turning your camera on or off, and entering full-screen mode. You can switch cameras when that option is available. In group calls, you can use grid layout; the active speaker’s tile is highlighted automatically. Participants can also copy or share the call link.
SharePlay and screen sharing are not available in FaceTime on the web. If you need either feature, the browser call does not provide it. [Apple Support]

If you need a FaceTime link
Ask the host to create and send you a link; an Android or Windows participant cannot start the browser join flow without one. A Mac user can create a new FaceTime link, share a link for a current call, or share an existing link. The creator can approve or decline join requests, remove a caller, and delete the link. Deleting the creator’s link prevents people from joining through it. [Apple Support]
