Select the game you want and choose its install action. Follow the app’s prompts to begin downloading it.

When installation finishes, launch the game from the Xbox app.

Xbox describes the PC app as a way to browse the Game Pass library, download games, and launch them. The exact button wording may vary, so follow the install action shown in your current app rather than relying on a fixed sequence of labels. Xbox PC app
Uninstall a Game Pass game on Windows PC

In the Xbox app, open the installed-games list.

Right-click the game you want to remove.

Select Uninstall game and confirm any prompt the app displays.

Install or remove a game on an Xbox console
To install, open the Game Pass or game library/store interface, select the title, and choose the install action. Xbox Support provides an Install games page, but its currently available page extract does not establish a detailed menu sequence. For uninstalling, use the options presented by your console for that game; if the controls differ or are unclear, consult Xbox Support rather than assuming the PC app’s right-click steps apply.

Download the game or stream it?
Local installation downloads game files to the device. For supported titles, Xbox also offers cloud gaming through the PC app, which lets you stream instead of downloading. Availability depends on the title and your plan, device, and region; check the current Xbox app for whether a game can be streamed for you. Xbox PC app and cloud gaming

The Xbox PC app can show an aggregated library that includes titles from other supported PC storefronts. Xbox Wire reported this library capability on September 15, 2025, including supported storefront games in My Library. As a result, seeing a game in the app does not by itself mean it is installed locally or that it is a Game Pass title. Check the game’s availability and install status in the app before managing it.
