Before you begin: check the package and model documentation
Confirm that your camera is the REDTIGER ZP1, also identified as ZoomPix 1, and locate its in-box manual or QR-code link. A marketplace listing describes a vehicle charger and rear-camera cable in the package, but package contents can vary by seller and market; check your actual box and manual. Before buying a card or hardwire kit, confirm the ZP1’s supported card capacity, speed and endurance requirements, along with the accessory’s connector and power compatibility, in the ZP1 manual or with REDTIGER support. General advice for other REDTIGER models is not a substitute for those specifications.
The FCC filing record identifies a manual for the ZP1/ZoomPix 1, but its manual page was not accessible. Use the manual supplied with your unit or request the exact documentation from REDTIGER rather than relying on button presses or menu names from another camera. FCC filing record

Plan the camera positions and cable routes
Front camera
REDTIGER recommends positioning a camera near the rearview mirror without significantly obstructing the driver’s view. Check that the lens has a clear view through the windshield and that the mount does not interfere with your sightline. Follow local rules on windshield-mounted devices. REDTIGER FAQ
Rear camera
Choose a position that gives the rear camera a clear view for your vehicle and camera type. Before attaching it, trace the rear-camera cable route from the camera to the front unit and check that the supplied cable can reach. Keep the lens clear of obstructions and avoid placing the cable where it could be pinched or damaged.

Safe cable routing
Plan the route before tucking wires under trim. Keep cables away from airbag deployment paths, moving parts and high-heat areas. Vehicle interiors and trim layouts vary, so do not force a cable behind trim or remove vehicle panels unless you know how to do so safely. REDTIGER’s general guide describes the broad workflow—mounting the front unit, mounting the rear camera, concealing cables and choosing a power method—but it is not a ZP1-specific installation procedure. For a basic driving setup, connect the vehicle charger as directed by the ZP1 manual and route its cable safely to the camera. For parking recording, first verify that the ZP1 supports the mode you want, then confirm its approved ignition-off power method and compatible accessories with the model manual or REDTIGER support. A hardwire installation connects to vehicle circuits, so seek professional help if you are not confident identifying the correct installation method for your vehicle.
Complete the first-time setup using the ZP1 manual
- Mount and connect the cameras. Secure the front unit and rear camera in the positions you planned, then connect the camera cable and power lead as shown in the ZP1 manual.
- Prepare storage. Use a memory card that meets the ZP1’s documented speed, capacity and endurance requirements. Follow the manual’s instructions for formatting or initializing it; do not assume the camera uses the same process as another REDTIGER model.
- Set date, time and recording options. Follow the ZP1 menu instructions for date and time and select the recording settings you need. The exact menu labels and button sequence are model-specific and should come from the ZP1 documentation.
- Pair the phone if desired. Use the ZP1 manual for its Wi-Fi name, password and camera-side steps, then follow the REDTIGER app’s instructions. General REDTIGER guidance is to turn on the camera’s Wi-Fi, join that camera network from the phone, and then open the app; the network details and controls vary by model. - Check firmware only through an exact-model source. Obtain firmware from REDTIGER and install an update only if it is explicitly intended for your exact ZP1 hardware and model.

- Confirm that the front and rear views appear as expected and that the camera records from each view.
- Check that the date and time are correct in a recorded clip.
- If you use the app, confirm that it connects and can view or download a clip.
- Switch the ignition off and back on to observe how your vehicle’s power socket behaves. If you expect parking recording, verify the ZP1’s documented parking behavior and approved power setup rather than inferring it from whether the camera remains on.
- Make sure cables remain secure and clear of the driver’s view, airbags, moving parts and hot surfaces.
