For animated wallpapers and lock-screen effects on a Galaxy Z Fold, use Samsung’s Good Lock app and its Wonderland module from Galaxy Store. Check that both are available for your exact Fold, software version, and region before you start. Wonderland is not a boot-animation tool: Samsung documents boot and shutdown animations as an enterprise-managed Knox Configure feature.
First, choose the kind of animation you mean

Samsung’s April 15, 2025 overview of Good Lock describes Wonderland as creating animated wallpapers for home and lock screens. Its newer workflow allows separate home- and lock-screen wallpapers; behavior can differ in older versions. Samsung’s Good Lock overview identifies Home Up’s gesture animation separately and says availability may vary by device and software version.
Check availability before installing
Good Lock modules are not guaranteed to be available on every Galaxy Z Fold. Samsung says availability can vary by device, software version, and region. Open Galaxy Store on the Fold itself and check the listings for Good Lock and Wonderland; if either is absent, the documented consumer workflow may not be supported for your current setup.
Samsung’s Good Lock setup instructions describe installing the app through Galaxy Store, then installing modules within Good Lock or as separate apps. Use those official store routes and update through Galaxy Store or Good Lock rather than relying on third-party APK downloads.

Install Good Lock and Wonderland
- On your Fold, open Galaxy Store and search for Good Lock. Install it, open the app, and accept the setup prompt if shown.
- In Good Lock, find Wonderland and install or update it. Depending on your device and region, a module may be installed within Good Lock or offered as a separate app.
- Open Wonderland and choose the effect you want to create, following one of the workflows below.
Create a moving wallpaper with Wonderland
- In Wonderland, select Create your own moving wallpaper.
- Choose a preset or use the add control to start a new design. Select a Gallery photo, color, or another available wallpaper as the base.
- Add image elements, then adjust movement, transparency, and any effects offered on your version. Samsung describes Wonderland elements and motion options that can include images, text, video, particles, and movement in left-right, up-down, and front-back directions; availability is not uniform across Fold models and software builds.
- Save using the arrow at the top right. Apply the result to the home screen, lock screen, or both as the available controls allow.
The exact labels and available controls can differ by software version and language. Samsung’s setup instructions use the labels “Create your own moving wallpaper” and “Create your different lockscreen effect.”
Create a lock-screen effect
- In Wonderland, select Create your different lockscreen effect.
- Choose a preset or create an effect, then select an image.
- Choose an effect and adjust the animation settings shown in your version. Samsung’s instructions describe controls such as speed, element size, and angle where available.
- Save the effect. Use the options displayed on your device to apply it to the lock screen.
Wonderland may also provide Always On Display-to-lock-screen transitions, with speed and depth controls on supported versions. Do not assume those controls—or any particular animation element—will appear on every Galaxy Z Fold.

When the request is for a boot animation
A boot animation plays as the device starts; it is different from a moving wallpaper or lock-screen effect. Samsung’s Knox Configure documentation describes custom boot, loop, and shutdown animations as settings assigned by an administrator through Knox Configure. Samsung notes that separate cover-screen boot and shutdown animations are available on Galaxy Z Fold5 and later with One UI 6.1.1 or later. That is an enterprise-managed path, not a consumer Good Lock procedure.

- Install Good Lock and Wonderland from Galaxy Store or through Good Lock, as offered for your device.
- Check module availability on the specific Fold; model, software version, and region affect what is offered.
- Do not treat Home Up gestures, Wonderland wallpaper effects, and Knox Configure boot or shutdown animations as interchangeable features.
- Restart only if the module itself asks you to. Samsung’s consumer instructions do not require a routine reboot to apply these wallpaper or lock-screen effects.
