ATMOSFAR’s Steam listing gives the following minimum and recommended PC specifications. These are published requirements, not benchmark results; Steam also notes that requirements may change during development. Check the listing for the build you are playing.

The listing also says multiplayer requires an internet connection. See ATMOSFAR’s Steam listing for the current requirements. Meeting either tier does not guarantee high FPS or smooth performance; Steam Support says reduced frame rates can have multiple causes and depend on the individual PC.
Work out what kind of performance problem you have
Before changing settings or considering hardware, note what the problem looks and feels like. The distinction helps avoid treating a network issue as a graphics issue, or buying a component that does not address the bottleneck.

- Consistently low FPS: The game appears slow most of the time, rather than only hitching briefly. Compare your CPU, RAM, GPU, operating system, DirectX support, and free storage with the current Steam requirements.
- Brief stutters or frame-time spikes: The game pauses or hitches momentarily, perhaps in a particular location or activity. Record where it happens and whether it repeats under the same conditions.
- Performance worsens after playing for a while: Note how long the game runs before the slowdown begins and what activity is taking place. The available official guidance does not identify a specific cause for this symptom.
- Multiplayer latency: If other players or actions appear delayed while the game otherwise renders smoothly, treat that as a possible connection issue rather than assuming the graphics settings are responsible. ATMOSFAR’s listing states that multiplayer requires an internet connection, but does not provide a latency troubleshooting guide.

Use a controlled settings check
There is no confirmed ATMOSFAR-specific graphics setting that fixes stuttering across PCs. You can still test changes systematically, but treat this as diagnosis rather than a guaranteed recipe:

- Write down the game build, display resolution, graphics settings, and the location or activity where the issue occurs.
- Reproduce the problem in the same scene or activity so you have a consistent comparison.
- Change one relevant graphics setting at a time, then revisit the same scene and compare. If you change several settings together, you will not know which change affected the result.
- Record whether the change helped, made no difference, or worsened the symptom. If it does not help, restore the previous setting before testing another.
Verify experimental upscaling features before relying on them
A search result for ATMOSFAR’s official community news feed reported DLSS and FSR support in an experimental branch, but the announcement’s exact details and the features’ current status are not confirmed here. Check current official build or branch notes and the graphics options in your installed build before expecting either feature to be available. Check ATMOSFAR’s official Steam community news feed.
Decide whether your hardware is the likely shortfall
If a component falls below ATMOSFAR’s published minimum, establish that shortfall before weighing an upgrade. For a GPU comparison, use the current GPU, the game’s listed minimum and recommended cards, your target display resolution, and your budget. The requirements identify an RTX 4070 as one recommended option, but they do not show how it performs in ATMOSFAR or prove that upgrading to it will eliminate stutter.

If your PC meets the listed requirements, that alone does not identify the cause of the problem or guarantee smooth play. The available sources provide no ATMOSFAR-specific benchmark, measured optimization result, or universal hardware recommendation.

An official ATMOSFAR developer blog describes the game as an Unreal Engine project with large systems, multiplayer, and an open world. It says the programming team’s work leading up to Early Access included “increase performance and fixing bugs.” That is development context, not confirmation that a particular stutter cause has been fixed or that a specific player-side setting is recommended.
