First identify what kind of lag you have

Fix connection problems
BGMI
Confirm the connection is stable. If it is not, try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or move somewhere with stronger signal. These are troubleshooting steps, not a guarantee that Wi-Fi will always have lower ping or perform better. If connection fluctuation persists after trying them, BGMI advises contacting support. Call of Duty: Mobile
Use a stable Wi-Fi connection and check whether the connection itself is causing trouble. If Wi-Fi is the issue, Activision suggests restarting the router. Try low-risk phone and game maintenance

Try these actions one at a time and see whether the symptom changes:
- Update Call of Duty: Mobile.
- Install available system-software updates for your phone.
- Close background apps, messaging pop-ups, and overlays.
- Restart the phone.
- Uninstall apps you do not need if you need to free RAM.
- Clear the game’s cache. Follow your phone’s app settings; menu names differ by manufacturer. The cited guidance recommends clearing cache, not app data.

BGMI
Exit the game, free phone storage, and, if needed, use the Repair option on the right side of the login page. Reinstall only after trying simpler steps. Choose a frame rate your phone and game actually support
BGMI: check for “Ultra Extreme”
BGMI’s 120 FPS option is limited to select high-refresh-rate devices with the required hardware and software support. Open the game’s Graphics Settings: the guide says the device supports 120 FPS only if Ultra Extreme appears as an option. A phone display set to 120 Hz does not, by itself, mean BGMI will offer 120 FPS.

If the option is available, set the phone’s refresh-rate setting appropriately as well; the exact phone menu varies by manufacturer. The reviewed Activision guidance does not provide a universal current list of high-FPS devices or one best setting combination. Use only the frame-rate options shown on your phone. Do not assume the same phone will offer the same frame rate in both games. For example, Xiaomi says the POCO X7 Pro’s Game Turbo high-frame-rate mode supports 120 Hz for Call of Duty: Mobile while BGMI runs at 60 Hz. Activision lists Call of Duty: Mobile minimum compatibility requirements of Android 6.0 or later with at least 2 GB of RAM, or iOS 15.0 or later with at least 2 GB of RAM. These minimums indicate compatibility, not a target for smooth play or a promised frame rate. Activision also says the game does not support emulators. - BGMI connection problems: contact support if the connection steps do not resolve persistent fluctuation.
- BGMI 120 FPS: contact in-game support if the option is offered but does not apply after configuring both game and phone settings.
