To get Majora’s Mask profile icons, open Nintendo Switch Online on your Switch or Switch 2, choose the correct user, then check Missions & Rewards. If Majora’s Mask elements are listed for your account, redeem them with My Nintendo Platinum Points, assemble an icon in Icon Collection, and select it as your profile icon. Nintendo’s catalog rotates, so the console’s live list—not an old reward schedule—is the availability check.
Check whether Majora’s Mask elements are available
Nintendo documents a rotating catalog: themes change monthly and icon elements refresh weekly. Its overview also says some previously released elements may return through play missions. The available items and any extra eligibility requirements can therefore change.
- Connect your Switch or Switch 2 to the internet and install any available system update.
- From the HOME Menu, open Nintendo Switch Online, then choose the user account that should receive the elements.
- Select Missions & Rewards and scroll through the listed games. Look for Majora’s Mask elements and read the requirements shown for each item.
Nintendo’s general instructions do not confirm that Majora’s Mask elements are in the catalog on October 4, 2026, or establish their regional or membership-tier conditions. If they do not appear for your account, the official instructions do not provide a way to redeem them outside the live catalog. Nintendo’s current guidance is available in its custom icon instructions and Missions & Rewards overview.
Redeem the elements with Platinum Points
If the items appear and your account meets their listed requirements, select each character, background, or frame you want and redeem it with My Nintendo Platinum Points. Nintendo says some icon elements can have additional conditions. Depending on the item, these may include playing the relevant game while the elements are available or playing it on at least three separate days in the last 30 days; check the item details rather than assuming every reward uses the same rule.
#1 Best Overall
- The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
- One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
- Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
- Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
- GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play
Nintendo’s general custom-icon instructions require an internet-connected Switch or Switch 2 and an active paid Nintendo Switch Online membership. Some elements may require an active paid Expansion Pack membership, but the specific Majora’s Mask set’s conditions are not confirmed in the general instructions.
Build and set your custom profile icon
- In Nintendo Switch Online, open Icon Collection at the top right.
- Open the icons or icon elements view and choose the Majora’s Mask elements you redeemed.
- Choose a character, background, and frame, then create and save the icon. Majora’s Mask game elements can be combined with elements from that game or with generic backgrounds and frames; elements from different games cannot be freely mixed.
- Select the finished icon in Icon Collection to set it as the profile icon.
This custom icon is managed in Nintendo Switch Online, not in the regular System Settings icon selector or the web User Page. Nintendo manages custom icons by Nintendo Account: they appear on linked consoles, but redeemed elements cannot be shared with another account.

What happens to collected icons if membership ends?
Nintendo says an element stays in Icon Collection after it has been added, even if the membership ends. Created icons remain associated with the Nintendo Account. The collection can save up to 100 user icons.

A Nintendo Life catalog guide dated September 17, 2026 is a secondary snapshot, not confirmation of the later live listing. A Reddit discussion dated October 4, 2026 is community material, not official verification.
