Autodesk’s trial FAQ says AutoCAD LT trial access lasts 15 days and cannot be extended. Use the trial period to confirm that the software suits your workflow before choosing a paid option. Once it expires, Autodesk points to a monthly subscription or Flex tokens for short-term access; neither is free.
Start from Autodesk’s AutoCAD LT trial page and review the current terms there. Do not rely on creating another account or reinstalling the software to extend access: Autodesk says the trial cannot be extended.
Get free educational access if you qualify
Eligible students and educators can receive one year of educational access, renewable while they remain eligible, according to Autodesk’s trial FAQ. Autodesk requires educational use: the access is not a free license for paid client work or other for-profit activity. Its education eligibility page explains the educational-use restriction and says for-profit work requires a paid plan.

Choose a monthly or annual paid subscription
Autodesk’s US purchase page listed AutoCAD LT at suggested retail prices of $70 per month and $540 per year when accessed on October 8, 2026. Autodesk says these prices exclude freight, handling, and taxes, actual retail prices may vary, and pricing can change without notice. They are US figures, not guaranteed prices for other countries or for your checkout.
