To get a Moroccan IP address, connect to a VPN server located in Morocco. That changes the region your internet connection appears to come from, but it does not guarantee access to Netflix Morocco or any particular Moroccan title. Netflix may restrict what it shows when it detects a VPN, and its catalog varies by country.
What a Moroccan IP address can—and cannot—do
A VPN routes your traffic through a server in another location. If the VPN offers a Moroccan server, connecting to it can make your public IP address appear to be in Morocco. Netflix has a Morocco-specific service page, but the titles available depend on licensing and can change over time: Netflix Morocco.
An IP address is only one signal Netflix may use to determine a viewer’s region. Netflix says that when it detects VPN use, it may show only titles for which it has worldwide licensing, rather than the full catalog for the apparent country. It also warns that a VPN or proxy can trigger an error. So a Moroccan VPN endpoint is not a dependable way to force the Moroccan catalog to appear.
How to connect through a Moroccan VPN server
- Choose a VPN that currently offers a server in Morocco. Check the provider’s own server list and confirm that the endpoint is available for your device and plan. Availability and streaming compatibility can change; the sources cited here do not establish that any particular provider currently works with Netflix Morocco.
- Install the provider’s app on the device you plan to use, then sign in and allow any requested VPN configuration.
- Connect to a Morocco server in the app. If the provider offers multiple Moroccan locations, try another one only if the first connection fails.
- Open Netflix and check what appears. A Moroccan IP may change the region Netflix detects, but the displayed catalog is not guaranteed to be Morocco’s full catalog.
Netflix’s VPN viewing help explains that VPN use can limit the titles shown to those Netflix has licensed worldwide.

Why Netflix Morocco may remain unavailable
- Netflix detects the VPN or proxy. The service may display a VPN/proxy error or limit the catalog to globally licensed titles.
- The title is not available in Morocco. Netflix says its catalog varies by country, so changing your apparent IP does not establish that a specific film or series is licensed for Morocco. See its country and catalog information.
- Your plan or viewing experience is unsupported. Netflix says VPNs are not supported for ad-supported experiences or live events. Its current guidance is in the VPN help page and VPN/proxy troubleshooting page.
What to do if Netflix shows a VPN or proxy error
- Check the apparent country. While connected to the VPN, visit Fast.com and open its additional information to see the client country Netflix may detect.
- Turn off VPN or proxy services and retry Netflix. Netflix’s troubleshooting guidance recommends disabling them to check whether they are causing the problem.
- Restart Netflix after changing the connection, then check whether the error has cleared.
- If the error continues, contact the VPN provider. Ask whether its Moroccan endpoint is currently compatible with Netflix and whether it has a recommended server or troubleshooting steps for your device.
Netflix’s VPN and proxy troubleshooting instructions provide the service’s current guidance. If you are watching an ad-supported experience or a live event, disconnect the VPN; Netflix says those uses are unsupported.
Moroccan IP access is not the same as a guaranteed catalog
Netflix’s 2016 explanation of regional catalogs describes territorial licensing and proxy enforcement as factors in country-by-country availability: “Evolving Proxy Detection as a Global Service”. That statement is historical context, not a current technical specification of how Netflix detects VPNs. The practical point remains that Netflix’s own current guidance does not promise that a VPN endpoint will unlock another country’s full catalog.
