If Samsung rejects a ZIP or postal code in your account profile, sign in to your Samsung account in a web browser and go to Profile → Edit personal information. Check the postal code alongside the rest of the address and country/region, then save. If the correct local code is still rejected, verify that the account country matches your situation; don’t change countries just to test different codes.
First identify which Samsung form is rejecting the code
Samsung’s documented profile-edit path applies to personal information saved in a Samsung account. An error during account creation, checkout, or another regional service may come from a different form. Note the page or service and the exact error text before troubleshooting; Samsung’s published guidance does not establish that every form uses the same postal-code validator.
Update the postal code in your Samsung account profile
- In a web browser, sign in to your Samsung account.
- Open Profile, then select Edit personal information.
- Review the address fields together: street address, city, state or province if requested, country/region, and postal code. Correct any inaccurate details and save the changes.
Samsung lists Postal Code as an editable personal-information field. See Samsung’s instructions for updating personal information.
Check the account country or region separately
The country/region setting is separate from editing the address. Samsung says, “Your Samsung account country determines which services and features are available on your device.” If the account country is genuinely wrong—for example, because you moved—review Samsung’s country or region change instructions and the terms shown on the account page. Don’t change it merely to try random postal codes.

Understand the consequences before changing country
- Samsung says connected devices are automatically signed out after a country change.
- You must wait 180 days before changing the country again.
- Some accounts cannot change country. Samsung lists restrictions involving family and child accounts, phone-number-only IDs, some underage accounts, accounts tied to Mainland China, and Galaxy Store seller accounts.
- Service availability and the display of purchase history may change.
Because the change can affect account access and services, read Samsung’s current on-screen notice before confirming. If the option is unavailable or the change fails, Samsung advises contacting Support.
If the correct code is still rejected
Samsung’s published guidance does not specify a universal postal-code format or explain one cause for every validation error. It does not establish that a particular digit count, spacing, punctuation, or placeholder code will work across all Samsung forms. If your profile details and country/region are correct, contact Samsung Support for the relevant country or region rather than substituting an inaccurate address.
