Most Pokémon Bank-to-Pokémon HOME transfer errors come down to the HOME Premium Plan, mismatched Nintendo accounts, or an expired Moving Key. Confirm the accounts and plan first, then follow the transfer route for whether you still have a Nintendo 3DS. If you are using the no-3DS route, note that it moves every Pokémon in Bank at once.
Act before Pokémon Bank service ends on February 26, 2027, at 03:00 UTC; after that, transfers from Bank to HOME will no longer be possible.
Check the HOME plan and account link first
A Pokémon HOME Premium Plan is required to connect Pokémon Bank to HOME. Nintendo Switch Online is not required for this connection. The Nintendo Account used with HOME must be linked to the Nintendo Network ID used with Bank. See Pokémon Support’s connection requirements.
- Confirm that the HOME account has an active Premium Plan.
- Check that HOME is signed in to the Nintendo Account linked to the Nintendo Network ID used with Bank.
- Choose the transfer method based on whether you still have access to a Nintendo 3DS and, if not, whether you intend to move all Pokémon in Bank.
Choose the transfer method that matches your situation

Transfer selected boxes with a Nintendo 3DS
- In Pokémon Bank, select Move Pokémon to Pokémon HOME, choose the boxes you want to move, and confirm.
- In Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch, select Move > Begin Move > Begin > Ready > Display to show the Moving Key.
- Alternatively, in the HOME mobile app, open the menu and select Options > Move Pokémon > Begin move > Display Moving Key.
- Enter the Moving Key in Pokémon Bank within three minutes. The key expires after that. Its codes do not use the letters O, I, or Z, so check those characters if entry fails.
After Bank accepts the key, the selected Pokémon move to HOME and can be deposited into HOME Boxes. The steps above are listed by Pokémon Support.

Transfer without a Nintendo 3DS
This route requires the Nintendo Network ID used with Bank to be linked to the Nintendo Account used with HOME. It moves every Pokémon in Bank at once, not just selected boxes, so do not continue unless that is what you intend.
- In HOME on Switch, select Move > No Nintendo 3DS. In the mobile app, select Options > Move Pokémon > No Nintendo 3DS.
- Review the displayed Nintendo Network ID and confirm it is the one used with Pokémon Bank.
- Continue through the confirmation screens. On mobile, select Continue to verify the account link. Select Begin only when you are ready to move all Pokémon in Bank.
Resolve error 8807
Pokémon Support gives this recovery sequence for error 8807. Follow it in order rather than starting with save-data deletion or reinstalling the app.

- Launch Pokémon HOME on Nintendo Switch and sign in to the Nintendo Account again if prompted.
- If the error remains, or no sign-in prompt appears, delete Pokémon HOME save data for the affected Switch user and restart HOME.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Pokémon HOME mobile app, then link the same Nintendo Account you used before.
- If the error persists, change the Nintendo Account password and repeat the preceding steps. After a password change, a new Switch sign-in prompt may take up to 24 hours to appear.
Use the exact order in Pokémon Support’s error 8807 instructions.
Fix “This account has already been linked to a different Pokémon HOME”
Pokémon Support recommends reinstalling the mobile app and linking the same Nintendo Account used with HOME on Switch. This is not a reason to select a different Nintendo Account at random.

There is an important account limitation: if Premium has been purchased and/or the mobile and Switch versions have been synced, the linked Nintendo Account cannot be changed. The support guidance says using a new Nintendo Account requires a new HOME account on a new device; it does not describe changing the link on the existing account as a recovery method. Follow the dedicated account-linking instructions before taking account-level action.
Troubleshoot Pokémon HOME on a mobile device
- Check that the device meets Pokémon HOME’s minimum requirements and that the app is updated.
- Allow camera access and enable Location Services, as recommended by Pokémon Support.
- For iOS login trouble, enter the Nintendo Account credentials manually rather than relying on fingerprint or face recognition or password-manager auto-entry. Another option is to sign in to the Nintendo Account in a separate browser, then reopen HOME.
- If a code does not appear, restart the app and device while connected to a stable internet connection.
- Some HOME features can vary by device or operating system.

For technical issues involving Pokémon Bank, Nintendo console games or hardware, Wi-Fi, and associated error codes, Pokémon Support directs users to Nintendo Support. For Pokémon HOME app or account questions, use the service-request option linked from the relevant Pokémon HOME support article. The guidance does not promise a particular resolution time. Transfer before Pokémon Bank service ends
Pokémon Support announced on August 18, 2026, that Pokémon Bank service will end on February 26, 2027, at 03:00 UTC. After service ends, Bank-to-HOME transfers will no longer be possible. The announcement is on Pokémon Support’s French-language page, “Banque Pokémon et Pokémon HOME”.
