When Nex Playground seems not to work, first identify what is actually failing: camera framing or motion tracking, Wi-Fi, a game that is still installing, a frozen game, or a blank TV screen. Each has a different first fix. Start with the matching checks below before considering hardware replacement.
My body does not fit in the camera view during setup
Check the console’s placement and operating conditions using Nex Playground’s camera-framing guidance. Then open Help > Setup Essentials > Motion Tracking on the console.
- Try the on-screen Tips.
- Open Tracking Assistant and follow its guidance.
- If framing or movement detection is still wrong, restart the console through Settings > System > About.
Use the official placement guidance for your setup rather than assuming that a restart alone will resolve a camera-position issue.
I cannot connect to Wi-Fi
First check whether the network opens a web page for you to sign in after connecting. Nex Playground does not support Wi-Fi networks that require a captive-portal login, such as some hotel, school, or airport networks. Its Wi-Fi settings also do not support proxy settings. Try a different network or a mobile hotspot; if the console connects there, the original network is likely the source of the problem. See Nex Playground’s Wi-Fi troubleshooting instructions.

On a home network
- Check that you selected the right network and entered its password correctly.
- If the console has used this network before, forget it and join again if that option is available.
- Restart the router, modem, or extender, then restart the console through Settings > System > About.
On an enterprise or managed network
Ask the network administrator to check whether the firewall allows npg.games and nexplayground.com and whether ports 17443, 18443, 30906, and 443 are unblocked. This is an administrator-level check, not a routine change to make on a home router.
A game will not start: check whether it is installing or stuck
A game tile that says Pending or Installing is not ready to play. During first-time setup, starter games download over Wi-Fi; Nex Playground says this can take up to an hour depending on internet speed. Leave the console connected and wait until the status disappears, then select Play. Follow the first-time setup instructions.

If the game was already installed and is now frozen or will not recover, use the stuck-game tool instead:
- Open Settings > System > Fix stuck games.
- Confirm with the controller’s middle button and try launching the game again.
You can also open the affected game’s details screen and choose Game Stuck?. If the game remains stuck after using the tool, restart the console and retry. Nex Playground documents these options in its stuck-game instructions.

I am seeing a black screen/blank screen
A blank display is a different problem from a game that is still downloading or has frozen. Check the TV-to-console video path before restarting:
- Make sure the TV is on the HDMI input connected to Playground.
- Try another HDMI port on the TV.
- Temporarily disconnect other devices connected to the TV; a streaming device or receiver can interfere.
- If available, test with another HDMI cable. Nex Playground’s setup instructions say an HDMI cable is included.
- If the screen is still blank, unplug power from both the console and wall outlet, wait at least 10 seconds, and reconnect. During diagnosis, plug the power adapter directly into a wall outlet.
Samsung TV owners can also try Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > HDMI Troubleshooting. See the full black-screen troubleshooting instructions. Use the original Nex Playground power cable; the setup guidance does not recommend substituting a generic USB-C adapter.

When to use Nex Playground’s troubleshooting tool
If the supported checks do not resolve a suspected hardware problem, use the official Troubleshooting Tool. Nex Playground says a warranty claim can only be submitted through that tool. Its guided checks lead to a form if the issue remains unresolved; a claim does not guarantee a particular warranty outcome.
Have the console connected to a TV and power while you work through the tool. Be ready to provide clear photos or video showing the problem and proof of purchase with the purchase date, order number, item, and seller. A gift receipt is accepted for a gift.
