Start by finding the module number for your G-SHOCK and following that module’s Casio guide. The right app and button sequence vary by watch, so there is no universal pairing reset. Then check phone compatibility, the required Casio app, Bluetooth and permissions, Airplane Mode, and distance before clearing saved pairing records.
1. Find the watch’s module number and the correct app
Check the watch’s documentation or case-back information for its module number, then open the corresponding guide on Casio’s support site. The examples below show why this matters: different modules use different apps and watch actions.

These are examples, not a complete list of G-SHOCK models. App names and phone support can change, and some older watches may specify a legacy app. Use the app named in the current guide for your exact module rather than assuming a different G-SHOCK uses the same one.
2. Check the phone, app, and permissions
- Confirm compatibility. Check Casio’s current compatibility information for your phone and operating system. Support for another module does not establish support for yours.
- Install and open the specified app. Keep it open while pairing. Some reconnection procedures require the app to be running; Casio says of module 5594, “The watch cannot re-connect with your phone unless G-SHOCK Connected is running on the phone.”
- Turn on Bluetooth and grant requested permissions. Check the phone’s app-permission settings and allow the access the app requires. Requirements vary by model and phone. For module 3568, Casio specifically instructs users to enable phone location services and grant the app access to location information.
- Check location prompts where applicable. The module 3475 guide says the first time G-SHOCK MOVE starts, the phone asks whether to enable location information acquisition. Follow the prompt and the guide’s permission instructions for that model.
Permission labels and paths differ between phone operating systems and versions, so use your phone’s app settings rather than relying on a single path that may not match your device.

3. Check connection state and distance
- Turn off Airplane Mode on both devices. Casio warns for module 3568 that a connection is not possible while the phone’s Airplane Mode is enabled. Also check whether the watch’s Airplane Mode is on, if that module has the setting.
- Restore Bluetooth or power, then retry. If Bluetooth was disabled or the phone was powered down, turn Bluetooth back on, reopen the correct app, and use the module guide’s pairing or reconnection action.
- Bring the devices close together. For modules 3475 and 3486, the guides specify keeping the phone within one meter for pairing or connection. This is model-specific guidance, not a universal maximum Bluetooth range. Casio’s older module 5413 guide notes that radio conditions can make usable range short even within two meters.
- Reduce possible interference. If the connection is unreliable, try again with the phone close to the watch and away from potential sources of radio interference.
4. If pairing works but the watch will not reconnect
Bring the phone near the watch and bring the correct app to the foreground. Then follow the reconnection action in the guide for your module; do not copy another model’s button sequence. For example, the module 5594 guide says to hold button B until the second hand points to [R] twice. That action is specific to the cited module.
If the phone was switched off, Bluetooth was turned off, or the app was closed, restore those conditions before trying the module’s reconnect procedure. If the app still cannot find the watch, continue to the pairing-record reset steps below.

5. Remove stale pairing records and pair again
Do this only after the basic checks fail. Deletion steps differ by module, and clearing a record on one device does not necessarily remove it from the others.
- Open the module’s Casio troubleshooting guide and follow its instructions for deleting the watch from the app and the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- If the guide calls for it, delete pairing information stored on the watch as well. Some models document a separate watch-side procedure.
- Reopen the correct app and pair the watch again using the module-specific instructions, including the stated button timing.
Casio documents removal of pairing information for modules 3568 and 5724, and a watch-side deletion procedure for module 5594. Do not use a reset sequence from a different module; it may not perform the same action.

6. Is a disconnect after inactivity a fault?
Not necessarily. Module 3568 may temporarily end an unused Bluetooth connection after about one hour. Module 3486 allows an app-connection limit of 3, 5, or 10 minutes. Check the connection or power-saving behavior in your own module’s guide before treating an idle disconnect as a pairing failure.

- Recheck that the module number matches the guide and that you installed the app it specifies.
- Verify that the phone and operating system appear in Casio’s current compatibility information.
- Confirm Bluetooth, requested app permissions, and Airplane Mode settings on both devices.
- Retry close to the watch with the app open, using the exact module-specific procedure.
- Only then clear the saved pairing records as directed by that guide and pair again.
If the module guide and current compatibility information do not resolve the issue, contact Casio support with the module number, phone model, operating-system version, and the step where the connection fails.
