Hisense’s US site lists the 65E7SF as an E7 Series Hi-QLED MiniLED 4K Fire TV, but that is only a possible match for the “E7 Cinema Series” name. Check your TV’s model number and use the manual for that exact regional model before following model-specific menu paths, since E7 names and menus can vary.
Before troubleshooting, identify the source and the exact TV model
Find the model number on the TV’s rear label or in its product information screen. Hisense’s [US product page for the 65E7SF](https://www.hisense-usa.com/televisions/65e7sf) describes that model as an E7 Series Hi-QLED MiniLED 4K Fire TV with 144Hz native refresh, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. This does not establish that every regional E7 Cinema Series TV is the same model or uses the same software and menus.
The troubleshooting steps below draw on Hisense’s North America [E-Manual MT9612 NA](https://assets.hisense-usa.com/assets/ProductDownloads/436/8beff00e88/65U6K-UM.pdf), which has 2023 copyright. It is not confirmed as the exact manual for every E7 Cinema Series or 65E7SF variant. Consult the manual matching your model and region for precise settings and menu names.
Note whether the fault is constant or intermittent, and whether it affects one source or several. A problem limited to one HDMI device points to a different set of checks than one affecting built-in apps or antenna TV.

- Built-in apps or Wi-Fi: Check the TV’s network connection and the individual app.
- HDMI source: Check the external device, selected input, cable, and port.
- Live TV or antenna: Check the antenna connection and broadcast signal.
- Sound only: Check the selected audio output and connected equipment.
Why does an HDMI device have no picture, sound, or signal?
- Make sure the external device is powered on and the HDMI cable is firmly connected at both ends.
- Select the TV input that corresponds to the HDMI port in use.
- If the signal comes and goes, unplug the TV from AC power, wait 60 seconds, then reconnect it. Hisense’s manual says: “If the signal is intermittent, unplug the TV power cord from AC outlet and re-plug after 60 seconds.”
- If there is still no signal, test another HDMI port and a known-good HDMI cable. With the source selected, check the TV’s HDMI Format setting if it is available on your model.
Replacing a cable is worth trying when these checks point to a connection or cable issue; Hisense does not prescribe a particular cable brand or premium specification in this troubleshooting guidance.
What should I check if the picture is blurry, flickering, or wavy?
For a blurry or flickering picture, the MT9612 manual suggests adjusting Sharpness. If you use an external antenna, check its direction, position, and connection; a weak signal or compressed broadcast can make the picture look distorted. A wavy picture may also be affected by nearby electrical appliances or the power outlet.

These are suggestions from the North America MT9612 manual, not confirmed menu instructions for every E7 Cinema Series model. Use the matching manual for your TV before changing picture settings.
Why is there no sound from the TV speakers or soundbar?
- Check that the TV is not muted and its volume is turned up. If you are watching through a cable, satellite, DVD, or Blu-ray device, check that device’s volume too.
- If you want to use the built-in speakers, confirm that TV Speaker is selected as the sound output.
- For a soundbar or receiver connected to the TV’s ARC port, select ARC as the intended output. For an optical connection, check that the optical cable is secure at both ends.
- If sound is still missing, try an available Digital Audio Out option, such as Auto, Pass Through, PCM, Dolby Digital, or Dolby Digital Plus. Which options appear depends on the TV and connected equipment.
Menu labels and audio-format availability can vary by model, so check the manual for your exact TV if you cannot find a listed option.

How do I fix Wi-Fi or streaming-app problems?
The TV will not connect to the network
Check the TV’s network status, confirm that the wireless router is on, and make sure the router has internet service. If the Wi-Fi signal is weak, Hisense recommends moving the router or access point to a central location rather than leaving it in a corner. For a persistent connection failure, check the network and contact your internet provider.
The network works, but an app does not
Determine whether the issue is limited to one app. For Netflix, the MT9612 manual suggests force-stopping and reopening the app, then restarting the TV if needed. App controls and menu paths may differ on other models and platforms.

Why are live-TV channels missing or showing no signal?
Check that the antenna cable is connected to the correct TV port and is not loose or disconnected. If the signal is intermittent, unplug and reconnect the antenna cable. Hisense’s manual also suggests scanning for channels again or restarting the TV. Broadcast menus and channel-scan options vary by region, so refer to the matching regional manual.

Check that the connected device supports HDMI-CEC and that its power and HDMI cables are connected properly. HDMI control must also be enabled on both the TV and the connected device. Hisense notes that CEC behavior varies by device, so one control feature failing does not, by itself, show that the TV is defective.
