A game or add-on missing from your PlayStation library does not necessarily mean the purchase failed. First, sign in to the account that bought it and check the transaction history. Then look in the correct library, check hidden games and console access settings, and restore licenses. For add-ons or in-game currency, use the game’s Add-Ons area or service list; if access is still missing, contact PlayStation Support with the transaction and error details.
1. Confirm the purchasing account and transaction
Sign in to the PlayStation account that made the purchase. A different account’s library will not show that account’s purchase. Check your transaction history online through PlayStation Account Management, or on PS5 at Settings > Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Transaction History.
Online transaction history defaults to the past two years; select a date range to look further within the available history, then open a transaction to view its details. A PS5 family member’s transaction history can be viewed only by the family manager. These details are from PlayStation’s UK transaction-history guidance, so labels and availability may differ by locale.
If the purchase is absent or marked unsuccessful, save any relevant payment or transaction details and contact PlayStation Support. Do not rely on another account’s library to confirm ownership.

2. Open the right library for your device
Use the view that matches the device where you want to download the item. PlayStation menu labels can vary by region and system software.

These routes are from PlayStation’s US download guidance. If an item does not appear in the expected view, continue with the checks below rather than assuming the transaction failed.

3. Check hidden games and console access settings
A game hidden from the library can be hidden in the libraries on all your consoles. Check the hidden-games list on your console and unhide the item if necessary. PlayStation also recommends checking console access settings when a purchased game is missing:
- PS5: Check whether Console Sharing and Offline Play is enabled, if appropriate for your setup.
- PS4: Check whether the console is activated as your primary PS4.
These are official troubleshooting checks for a purchased game that cannot be found in the library; the setting labels may vary with system software.

4. Restore licenses
A license check can help when a purchased game or add-on cannot be located or accessed. Restoring licenses does not remove saved data.
- PS5: Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses, select the relevant item, and choose Restore. You can also open the game’s options menu from the home screen or library and select Restore License.
- PS4: Go to Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses, then select Restore.

5. If the missing purchase is an add-on, season pass, or currency
Find downloadable add-ons from the main game
On PS5, open Game Library > Your Collection, select the main game, and inspect its Add-Ons section. On PS4, open Library > Purchased, select the main game, then choose PlayStation Store > Your Add-Ons. If the add-on is listed but not installed, download it from there.
Check the service list for passes or currency
Some purchases, including season passes and in-game currency, may be applied to the account rather than downloaded as a separate item. Check the service list:

Check where and when the content becomes available
Some content appears only after reaching a specific checkpoint or location in the game. If you own a disc copy, the disc’s licensed country or region may also need to match the region of your PlayStation account for some add-ons or in-game currency to work. PlayStation describes these cases in its add-on and in-game currency guidance.
6. Contact PlayStation Support if access is still missing
If the transaction is confirmed but you still cannot find or use the content, contact PlayStation Support. Have the following ready so support can identify the purchase and the failure:
- The purchasing account and purchase or transaction details.
- The exact error code or message, if one appears.
- A short description of the problem and the steps that reproduce it.
- The date and time you tried to access the content.
- A screenshot or video showing the issue, if possible.
PlayStation’s download troubleshooting guidance requests error details, reproducible steps, and evidence where available. If your local console menus differ from the paths above, use your region’s PlayStation Support pages for the corresponding labels.
