Valve says Steam Frame compatibility results appear when you browse games in your Steam library or the Steam Store. The available official documentation does not specify a current library filter name or menu path, so there is no verified step-by-step filter path to give here. Look for each game’s Steam Frame compatibility result while browsing; “Verified” refers to running locally on the headset, not streaming from a PC.
Where to find Steam Frame compatibility results
Valve says published results are visible while browsing games in the Steam library or Store. Its Steam Frame Standalone Compatibility Review Process documentation does not identify a specific library control, filter label, or sequence of menu selections. Check the current Steam client for the result shown on a game’s listing rather than relying on a guessed path or a Steam Deck walkthrough.
If you are browsing the Store, Steam Support documents a “SteamOS + Linux” operating-system filter for finding Linux-compatible games. That is not the same as a Steam Frame Standalone Verified filter: the support page does not equate the Linux filter with Frame’s separate review and badges. What the four Steam Frame badges mean
The Frame badges describe Valve’s review of a game running locally on the headset. They are not a ranking of whether the game can be streamed from a PC.

These definitions come from Valve’s review-process documentation. Valve says a compatibility result changes how a game is presented, not whether it is available to Frame customers: “The results of a compatibility review will not affect whether your game is available to customers on Frame, but will affect how it is presented.”
Standalone play is different from PC streaming
“Steam Frame Standalone Verified” is specifically an assessment of a game running locally on the headset. Valve explicitly excludes games running on a PC and streamed to Frame from this review. A standalone badge therefore answers whether the local experience passed Valve’s review; it does not rate the separate streamed-PC experience.

Steam Frame is a SteamOS PC based on an Arm64 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform. Valve describes Proton for Windows games, Lepton for Android games, and FEX for x86 games as execution layers for the device. Their presence explains how some software can run on Frame; it does not establish that every title will run well or earn Verified status. Valve’s stated minimum normal-play performance thresholds are 30 fps at 1280×720 for 2D titles and 72 fps at 1728×1728 for VR titles. These are review criteria, not a guarantee of identical performance for every user or setup. Valve also checks factors including physical controls, controller glyphs, readable interface text, and launchers. The criteria are described in the Steam Frame compatibility review process.

A badge can therefore be more useful than simply knowing that a game is available on Steam: it communicates how Valve’s standalone checks went and whether manual work or a known incompatibility is involved. The “Unknown” status, in particular, means the review has not established compatibility information.
