Find a code only through the offer or platform that issues it, then follow that offer’s instructions for the exact reward. Minecraft Dungeons II (also called Minecraft Dungeons 2) is an official released game, but there is no single universal code list: a game gift code, a physical-copy bonus, and a time-limited cosmetic offer are different things with different eligibility rules and redemption destinations.
Start by identifying what the code is for
Before searching for or entering a code, check the reward name and what it unlocks. Minecraft’s general redemption page describes Minecraft Dungeons prepaid or gift codes as codes for downloading the original Minecraft Dungeons. Dungeons II promotional codes, such as physical-copy bonuses or cosmetic offers, have their own instructions. Do not assume a code for one game or reward applies to another.
- Game entitlement: A code may grant access to a game on a specified platform.
- Physical-copy bonus: A package code may need to be redeemed through the platform named in the instructions.
- Cosmetic promotion: An item may be for Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons II, or another eligible game, and may require a particular account or activity.
The official Minecraft Dungeons II promotions page and Minecraft redemption page describe separate paths. Read the offer itself before entering a code.
Where to get legitimate Minecraft Dungeons II codes
Use the official game or publisher offer, the platform store explicitly named by the offer, or the eligible platform’s own inventory or notifications for a stream reward. A seller’s claim that a code is “free,” “universal,” or guaranteed is not proof that it is genuine. The official sources do not establish that a particular third-party seller has valid stock.

Aurora Cape stream promotion
Minecraft’s promotion offers an Aurora Cape for Minecraft, not Minecraft Dungeons II. To qualify, watch a rewards-enabled Minecraft Dungeons II livestream for at least 3 minutes on TikTok or 15 minutes on Twitch during the offer window: September 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time through October 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time. The platform provides an eligible code through TikTok notifications or Twitch inventory. Redeem it at Minecraft.net/redeem by October 31, 2026. The offer is limited to one code per person/Microsoft account; supplies are limited, and codes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. See the official promotion terms for current conditions.
Physical-copy pre-order bonus
If you have a physical-copy pre-order code, locate it in the game package and use the redemption destination for the applicable platform: Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation. Follow the official instructions for the specific item rather than trying the general Minecraft redemption page by default.

For the Twisted Cape, Minecraft’s instructions say to log into the Microsoft account in Dungeons II and confirm the pre-order item, then use that same Microsoft account in Java and/or Bedrock to claim the cape there. The cape is not the same as a game entitlement.
Hero Cape eligibility
The official Minecraft Dungeons II FAQ says players who played Minecraft Dungeons and then log into Dungeons II using the same Microsoft account can unlock the Hero Cape before December 31, 2026. The FAQ says Game Pass and Steam players may qualify if they used the same Microsoft account, and a player can join a friend’s co-op session rather than own either game.

Verify a code before redeeming or paying
- Match the reward to your goal. Check whether the offer is for the base game, a platform entitlement, a pre-order bonus, or a cosmetic. If you expect Dungeons II, confirm that the offer names Dungeons II rather than Minecraft Dungeons or Minecraft.
- Check who issued it. Use the game/publisher, the named platform store, or the stream platform’s eligible inventory or notifications. Do not treat a code posted by an unknown seller or code generator as verified.
- Confirm platform and region. A physical-copy code is routed through the relevant Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation destination. The promotion terms note that geography limitations may apply; check compatibility before paying or redeeming.
- Read eligibility and timing terms. Look for account requirements, qualifying activity, supply limits, claim windows, and expiry dates. An authentic code can still be expired, already claimed, unavailable, or ineligible for your account or region.
- Use only the stated redemption destination. The general Minecraft redemption page accepts 25-digit codes in its entry box and directs 10-digit codes to a different service. That does not mean every Dungeons II promotion belongs on that page; follow the exact offer instructions.
- Protect your account. Do not give a seller or “generator” your password, one-time login code, or Microsoft account credentials. A redemption code should not require handing over account access.
If a code does not work
Check the code’s platform, format, destination, account, promotion conditions, and expiry date against the official instructions. For an account-linked reward, make sure you used the Microsoft account specified by the offer. If a promotion code still fails, Minecraft’s promotion page advises contacting customer service. If you bought a code, ask the seller or platform to clarify the first code before purchasing another.

Minecraft identifies Minecraft Dungeons II as the sequel to Minecraft Dungeons, and Xbox Wire lists its launch date as September 29, 2026. The official Minecraft FAQ lists Windows, Steam, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. A code’s supported platform still depends on the individual offer; the game’s general platform list does not make codes interchangeable.
