How to check which aces you are missing
Open Data Viewer → Campaign Data → Campaign Assault Records and inspect the empty entries. The launch guides describe 83 campaign records in total: 52 mostly scripted special-unit entries and 31 conditional named aces. These are guide-reported counts, not an official Bandai Namco roster. Use the missing entry to identify the mission to replay rather than repeating every mission indiscriminately.

How to make a conditional ace appear
- In Campaign Assault Records, identify the missing ace and its associated mission.
- Set the campaign difficulty to Veteran, Elite, or Ace. Guides report Veteran as the minimum for conditional named aces; a lower setting will not satisfy this reported gate.
- Meet the mission-specific condition. It may require destroying particular aircraft or targets, protecting an asset, meeting a timed kill threshold, or flying through a specific route. Normal mission progress alone may not trigger the ace.
- When the named ace appears, shoot it down before completing the sortie. If the encounter could end by destroying the last required target, prioritize the ace first.
- Finish the mission so the record registers. Do not quit, abandon, or restart after the kill.
The difficulty gate, trigger requirements, and need to finish the sortie are reported by the launch guides, not documented in Bandai Namco’s official game information.
Check the Mission 18 prerequisite before Mission 28
The Lux Lunae 22nd Unit in Mission 28 is reported to depend on defeating Shadow 24 in Mission 18. If the Mission 28 entry remains missing, check the Mission 18 record and replay that mission to down Shadow 24 before trying Mission 28 again. This dependency is reported by PowerPyx and KeenGamer.

These early-mission examples show why it is important to look up the condition for the particular missing entry rather than assuming every ace appears automatically. The triggers below are reported by PowerPyx’s September 29, 2026 guide.

What the completed record can unlock
Launch guides report a special aircraft paint scheme for each conditional ace and associate completing the set with the A Record of Rivalry achievement or trophy.
