ChangeTower has two different export workflows: download a scheduled, multi-monitor change report as a PDF, or export a dated snapshot or page history when you need evidence of what one page showed. The steps and available formats depend on which workflow you use.
Choose the right ChangeTower export

A scheduled report is a period-based digest. It is not the same as exporting an individual saved page snapshot. ChangeTower describes scheduled reports at its Scheduled Website Change Reports page, and snapshot exports in its website change monitoring FAQ and Screenshots & Archiving feature page.
Download a scheduled change report
Scheduled reports gather changes across the monitors you select for a delivery period. ChangeTower says each delivery covers the period since the previous one and includes an AI-written executive summary, changes grouped by monitor, and totals for changes, monitors with changes, and all monitors.
- Create or open a scheduled report, then choose the monitors it should cover.
- Set the delivery cadence: daily, selected days of the week, or monthly. Choose the delivery time.
- Select the workspace members who should receive the report by email.
- When a delivery is available, open it in ChangeTower and use the PDF download option.
The report page keeps deliveries in the app history with their period, status, and notification count. Scheduled reports are listed as available on Business and Enterprise plans; confirm current plan eligibility in ChangeTower before relying on it.

Export a snapshot or page history
Use the snapshot workflow when you need a dated record for one monitored page rather than a digest across monitors. ChangeTower’s FAQ describes exporting a snapshot as a PDF or spreadsheet report; its archive feature separately describes exporting an individual snapshot or a span of history as a PDF or image.
- Open the relevant page’s snapshot list.
- Filter the list to the dates you need.
- Open the required date or snapshot.
- Choose the export option provided for that workflow and save the file.
The format descriptions come from different ChangeTower help contexts, so do not assume the same export menu offers all four formats. Use the options shown in your account for the specific snapshot or archive view.

Know what the saved history can prove
ChangeTower says it stores a snapshot at each check, whether or not the page changed. However, a page’s record starts when monitoring begins: ChangeTower says it has no back catalogue of earlier page states. An export therefore cannot establish what a page said before the monitor started collecting snapshots.
History retention is plan-dependent according to ChangeTower’s FAQ: 30 days on Free and Lite, 60 days on Essential, six months on Business, and a period configured to policy on Enterprise. These are product terms and may change, so check the current FAQ or account plan details when you need a particular date range.

Common export problems
- The date you need is missing: Check the monitor’s start date and the account’s retention window. ChangeTower does not provide states from before monitoring began, and older snapshots may have fallen outside retention.
- You expected a recurring report but cannot find its PDF: Open the delivery inside ChangeTower’s report history and download it there; a scheduled delivery is not the same as a page’s snapshot export.
- Your export menu does not show the format you expected: PDF or spreadsheet is described for the FAQ’s snapshot-list workflow, while the archive feature describes PDF or image. Confirm that you are in the corresponding view.
- You cannot set up scheduled reports: They are listed for Business and Enterprise plans. Check your current plan and ChangeTower’s interface for eligibility.
