To export all data covered by monday.com’s account archive, an account admin goes to Profile menu → Administration → General → Account → Export account data and selects Export. monday.com emails a ZIP download link when the archive is ready. For a single board, dashboard, chart, or workdoc, use that item’s separate export instead: the account ZIP does not contain every monday.com content type.
Choose the export that fits what you need

These options serve different purposes: use the account archive for broad account coverage, board Excel for supported table data, and dashboard or widget exports for presentation or sharing. The account export is a manual request; the documented scheduling option applies to dashboard PDFs.
Export the whole account to a ZIP file
- Sign in as an account admin. The account-wide export is an admin action.
- Open the profile menu and select Administration.
- Go to General → Account, then scroll to Export account data.
- Select Export. If offered, choose whether to include uploaded files; excluding them can make the export faster.
- Wait for monday.com’s email with the download link, then download the ZIP archive promptly.
monday.com says processing can take up to 24 hours. An account export can be requested once every 24 hours, and the emailed download link is valid for 24 hours after the email arrives. All account admins are notified when an export starts, so coordinate requests and make sure someone can retrieve the file soon after it is ready.
What the account archive does and does not include
The archive can include boards across the account, including shareable and private boards, and can include uploaded board files. It does not include archived boards, workdocs, dashboards, or the Emails & Activities timeline. Dashboard data may come from boards that are exported, but the dashboard itself is not in the ZIP. Export workdocs separately as PDFs if you need them in your archive.

Export one board to Excel
- Open the board you want to export.
- Select Export at the top right of the board.
- Choose the Excel export option and follow the on-screen prompt to download the file.
Excel export is available for table views, including the main board table and saved filters. It does not preserve grouping, sorting, or conditional coloring, and other board views cannot be exported to Excel. If the board’s export option is missing, ask an admin to check whether the relevant role has the board permission Export data to excel.
Export a dashboard or chart
Save or schedule a dashboard PDF
Open the dashboard’s Export menu to export its widgets as a PDF. The dashboard PDF can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly, sent to up to 50 recipients, and formatted in portrait or landscape. monday.com lists the following number of dashboard PDF schedules users can set up by plan:

These figures refer to schedules, not the number of PDF deliveries. Plan features and quotas can change, so check monday.com’s current plan documentation or the options shown in your account before relying on a quota.
Export an individual widget
A dashboard cannot currently be exported as a whole to Excel. The Timeline and Table widgets offer individual Excel export. For a Chart widget, the listed formats are PDF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, and CSV; choose the format that matches whether you need a printable view, image, vector graphic, or chart data.

Check coverage before treating an export as a backup
- Use the account ZIP for the account data and board files it includes, but do not treat it as a complete copy of all monday.com content.
- Export archived boards, workdocs, dashboards, and Emails & Activities separately if you need those items; workdocs can be exported as PDFs.
- For recurring sharing, use scheduled dashboard PDF exports where available. The account archive process described by monday.com is a manually requested export, not a scheduled account backup.
- For a board Excel export, verify that the table view contains the information you need; view formatting such as grouping, sorting, and conditional coloring will not carry over.
