Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo export a Lucidspark board, open it, select More in the upper-left, hover over Export, choose a format, adjust any available settings, and select Download. Choose PDF, PNG, JPEG, or SVG for a visual copy; CSV for shape data; or Lucidchart to continue working with the board contents. A downloaded file is static, so publish the board instead if recipients need a view that stays current as you make changes.
Export a Lucidspark board as a file
- Open the board in Lucidspark.
- Select More in the upper-left corner.
- Hover over Export and choose a format.
- Adjust the available options, then select Download. The file is downloaded to your device.
Lucid’s export guide lists PDF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, CSV of Shape Data, and JSON. Available settings depend on the format you select.
Choose the right export format
| Format or option | Best for | What it represents | Does it stay current? |
|---|---|---|---|
| PDF, PNG, JPEG, or SVG | A visual copy to download, send, or print | The board as a visual export; these are not a live view of the board | No. A downloaded export is a snapshot. |
| CSV of Shape Data | Working with board shape information as tabular data | Shape data and associated fields, not a visual snapshot | No. A downloaded export is a snapshot. |
| JSON | Exporting data in JSON format | Lucid lists JSON as an export option; the guide does not establish it as a visually editable board backup | No. A downloaded export is a snapshot. |
| Lucidchart | Continuing to work with board contents in Lucidchart | A Lucidchart document containing the board contents | Not stated in Lucid’s conversion instructions. |
| Published link or permanent PDF link | Sharing a view that reflects later changes | A published document accessed through a unique webpage or permanent PDF link | Yes. Lucid says published documents stay up to date with the latest changes. |
PDF, PNG, JPEG, and SVG: visual exports
Choose one of these formats when someone needs to see the board rather than work with its underlying shape data. Lucid documents two crop options: Crop to content removes whitespace around the content, while Custom Crop lets you select an area. The export guide lists crop controls for PDF, PNG, JPEG, and SVG.
PNG and JPEG also have image-quality settings. In general, higher quality can mean a larger file, while lower quality can reduce file size at the expense of image detail. Lucid does not give a universal recommended setting, so choose based on the level of detail and file size that suit your use.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
CSV: shape data, not a board picture
To export data, go to More > Export > CSV of Shape Data. Lucid says the CSV can include shape names, shape library, text fields, voting results, tags, emoji reactions, and additional data. When present, it can also include comment status, creator, timestamp, and message. Custom shape libraries are named “User images” in the file. The exact fields depend on the contents of the board.
JSON: an export option with a specific caveat
Lucid lists JSON in the Export menu and describes JSON generically in terms of resources and metadata. Its export guide does not establish that JSON is a visually editable board backup, so do not rely on it for that purpose without confirming that it meets your needs.

Lucidchart: continue editing in Lucid
In Lucidspark, select More, hover over Export, and choose Lucidchart. Lucid creates a Lucidchart document containing the board contents. See Lucid’s import and export instructions.
Download a board or share a current view?
Use a downloaded PDF or image when the recipient needs a file copy. Exports are static: changes you make to the board later do not update a file already downloaded. If the recipient should see changes as they happen, use Lucid’s publishing option instead. Lucid says published documents stay up to date and can be shared through a unique webpage or permanent PDF link; see its publishing instructions.

Fix export size or layout problems
If the export has an unexpected size or layout, Lucid’s import and export troubleshooting guide points to board settings such as infinite canvas, content scale, and page tiling.
- If an export times out or has the wrong size, try changing the content scale.
- If the result does not look right or the export fails, try another file type.
- Review crop settings if the issue is unwanted whitespace or the selected area.
These adjustments may help, but the result depends on the board and its settings.

Is exporting available on my Lucid plan?
Lucid’s export guide lists the feature for Free, Individual, Team, and Enterprise plans, and says it is also available on FedRAMP accounts. It directs users to plan details for account-specific availability. The documentation does not say that upgrading is required just to export.
Lucid’s export article was last updated September 10, 2026; plan details and available options can change. Check Lucid’s current export guide if the menu or available formats differ in your account.
