Sony’s application window for the PlayStation 5 Pro (CFI-7100B01) closes October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. To apply, use Sony’s official purchase-application form while signed in to a Japan-registered Sony account used for PlayStation online services. That account must show at least 60 combined hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay during Sony’s specified two-year period. Check Sony’s live application page before submitting, since the deadline and later dates are time-sensitive.
How to apply for the Sony Store PS5 Pro lottery
- Open Sony’s official PS5 Pro purchase-application page and select the purchase-application form.
- Sign in with the Sony account you want Sony to check. The account must be registered in Japan and used for PlayStation online services.
- Submit the application by October 7, 2026, at 23:59 Japan time. Sony checks account qualifications after the application period closes.
- Make sure the account has at least 60 total hours of PS4 and/or PS5 gameplay from September 27, 2024, through September 27, 2026, at 23:59. The hours are combined across PS4 and PS5, but must be associated with the account used to apply.
- Keep the email address registered to the account current and able to receive mail from
@email.playstation.com. Sony warns that carrier email addresses and iCloud may have delivery problems. You can also link your Sony and LINE accounts after applying to receive the result through LINE.
Who qualifies, and how Sony selects applicants
Sony says it will use a lottery if the number of qualified applications exceeds its planned inventory. The official page does not state the number of available consoles, the number of qualifying applications, or individual odds, so there is no reliable way to estimate an applicant’s chance of selection.

Sony says unpurchased allocations may be offered in a later redraw to eligible applicants who were not selected, but does not guarantee a redraw.
