There is no current Intel-supported way to download and install Intel Unison on Windows 10 without Microsoft Store. Intel’s current requirements list 64-bit Windows 11 (Windows 11 SV2 and later), not Windows 10. Intel says it stopped manufacturing Unison products in June 2025 and that the product and drivers would no longer be available for download beginning January 1, 2026.
That makes many older guides inaccurate. They may mention Windows 10 support, an Intel Wi-Fi 6E adapter, or a direct Intel installer, but those instructions come from older documentation and do not describe Intel’s current support position. Intel’s current requirements and product-availability notice explain the current limits.
What Intel Unison currently supports
Intel’s current support page lists these requirements:

Premium Unison features require a qualifying Intel Evo and/or vPro system with a 13th-generation Intel processor or newer. Having an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210, AX211, or AX411 adapter does not make Windows 10 a supported operating system. Intel’s requirements page lists the supported operating systems and recommended hardware.

Why the usual Windows 10 instructions no longer work
Older Intel articles described a Microsoft Store process such as Search → Microsoft Store → Intel Unison → Get → Download. Those instructions were published in 2023 and should not be treated as a current Windows 10 installation method. Intel’s newer requirements page specifies Windows 11 only. Intel’s older installation instructions document the Store labels.
Older documentation also listed Windows 10-compatible hardware combinations and older phone requirements, including iOS 15 and Android 9. Those requirements have been superseded by Intel’s current support information.
There is also no current Intel-provided standalone .exe, .msi, or .appx package for installing Unison on Windows 10. Intel’s current documentation says the Windows companion app may be preinstalled on a new PC or downloaded from Microsoft Store. Intel’s product-availability notice says Unison products and drivers were no longer available for download beginning January 1, 2026.
Can WinGet install Intel Unison without Microsoft Store?
WinGet is not proof that Intel Unison remains available. Microsoft supports generic commands such as winget search <appname> and winget install <appname>, but Intel does not publish a current WinGet package identifier for Unison. Do not assume that a command such as winget install Intel.Unison is valid. Search the live WinGet catalog with winget search unison; if no legitimate Intel Unison result appears, WinGet cannot provide the application. Do not substitute an unrelated result or use a random third-party package merely because its name contains “Unison.” Microsoft documents WinGet’s commands and requirements.

If WinGet itself is missing
WinGet is delivered through Microsoft’s App Installer and supports Windows 10 version 1809, build 17763, or later, as well as Windows 11. If it is missing after the first Windows login, Microsoft documents this PowerShell registration command:
Add-AppxPackage -RegisterByFamilyName -MainPackage Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe
This only restores or registers WinGet. It does not create an Intel Unison installer and does not bypass Intel’s operating-system requirements.
Other possible WinGet errors include:
- App Installer is not installed: Microsoft says it can be downloaded separately, but its documented acquisition route is the Microsoft Store web app.
- WinGet is not recognized: App Installer may not be registered, or the client may not be on the system PATH.
- Elevation failure: An installer may request administrator permission. Declining the prompt causes installation to fail. An Administrator Command Prompt can avoid an additional elevation prompt for installers that require it.

What about Windows 10 S mode?
Windows 10 in S mode permits only Microsoft Store applications. Leaving S mode does not provide a no-Store installation route. Microsoft’s supported process is:
- Open the Switch out of S mode page in Microsoft Store.
- Select Get.
- Follow the confirmation steps.
Switching out is free but permanent; the PC cannot return to S mode. Because the process itself requires Microsoft Store, it is not a solution when Store is unavailable or intentionally removed. Microsoft documents the S mode process.
The supported route: use a compatible Windows 11 PC
If you have a supported Windows 11 computer where Unison is already installed or remains available through an approved distribution channel, the setup process is broadly:
- Launch Intel Unison on the PC.
- Turn on Wireless and Bluetooth when prompted.
- Install the Intel Unison phone application from the Apple App Store or Google Play using the QR code shown by the PC app, or search for the official application directly in the phone’s store.
- In the PC application, select Get the phone app here if that button is displayed.
- On the phone, choose Scan QR Code or Text Code.
- Confirm the displayed PIN Code on both devices.
Both devices need supported operating systems, an Internet connection, and Bluetooth enabled. Pairing may also require the PC and phone to have wireless connectivity available. Intel’s setup article describes the pairing flow.

What you can do with a Windows 10 PC
There is no supported workaround that turns an unsupported Windows 10 installation into a supported Unison system. Your practical choices are:
- Upgrade to a compatible Windows 11 installation, provided the hardware meets Microsoft’s Windows 11 requirements and the PC meets Intel’s Unison requirements.
- Use a newer supported PC that includes Unison or can obtain it through the currently approved channel.
- Use another phone-linking application that explicitly supports your version of Windows 10 and your phone. Check the developer’s current requirements rather than relying on an old download guide.
Windows 10 support ended on October 14, 2025. After that date, Microsoft no longer provides free Windows Update software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for ordinary Windows 10 installations. That is an additional reason to avoid installing an unverified companion application from an unofficial download site. Microsoft’s support information provides its current Windows lifecycle guidance.
Avoid these supposed fixes
- Old Intel download links: Intel says Unison products and drivers are no longer available for download beginning January 1, 2026.
- Modified Store packages: An extracted or repackaged AppX file may be incomplete, altered, unsigned, or unable to receive required dependencies.
- Claims that AX210, AX211, or AX411 is enough: Those claims come from older 2023 requirements and do not override the current Windows 11 requirement.
- Random WinGet package IDs: Only install a result that appears in a live winget search and clearly identifies the genuine publisher. Intel’s current documentation does not provide a Unison package ID.
Bottom line: the requested “Intel Unison on Windows 10 with no Microsoft Store” installation is not currently supported. The reliable path is a supported Windows 11 PC and an official acquisition route; there is no current Intel standalone installer that makes Windows 10 compatible.

Can I install Intel Unison on Windows 10 in 2026?
Not through a current Intel-supported procedure. Intel’s current requirements specify 64-bit Windows 11, while Windows 10 is not listed.

Does Intel Unison have an official offline installer?
Intel does not currently provide a standalone EXE, MSI, or APPX installer for this Windows 10 use case. Intel says the app may be preinstalled or obtained through Microsoft Store, and its product downloads ended January 1, 2026.
Will Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210, AX211, or AX411 make Unison work on Windows 10?
No. That information comes from older Intel documentation. Current requirements specify Windows 11 regardless of whether the PC has one of those wireless adapters.
Can I use WinGet instead of Microsoft Store?
Only if a live winget search unison result shows a genuine, currently available Intel Unison package. Intel does not publish a current package identifier, so a fixed command such as winget install Intel.Unison should not be assumed to work.
Can leaving Windows 10 S mode help install Unison?
No. Microsoft’s supported S-mode exit process itself requires Microsoft Store. Leaving S mode is also permanent.
