You can disable or delete a standard iCloud Mail alias without deleting your primary iCloud Mail address or Apple Account. Disabling is reversible; deleting is permanent. In either case, mail sent to that alias is returned to the sender, so disable it first if you are unsure or may need the address again.
Before you start: check which kind of address you have
A standard iCloud Mail alias is an alternate @icloud.com address associated with your primary iCloud Mail address. Manage it in iCloud.com Mail settings. Apple allows up to three standard aliases after you set up a primary iCloud Mail address. Apple’s overview explains that aliases cannot be changed, transferred, or converted into primary accounts: What are email aliases in iCloud Mail?

If the address is a random relay address you created with Hide My Email, do not look for it among standard Mail aliases. Hide My Email is an iCloud+ feature with separate controls. Addresses used with Sign in with Apple are managed separately, too.
Disable a standard iCloud Mail alias temporarily
- Go to icloud.com/mail and sign in to your Apple Account.
- Open the settings menu above the Mailboxes list, choose Settings, then select the alias you want to stop using.
- Check Disable alias and save your changes.
Disabling pauses the alias rather than removing it. To use it again, return to that alias’s settings, clear Disable alias, and save. Apple’s instructions are in Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com.

Delete a standard alias permanently
- In iCloud.com Mail, open the settings above the Mailboxes list and choose Settings.
- Select the alias you want to remove.
- Choose Delete alias and confirm.
Apple describes deletion as permanent. The control applies to the selected alias; it is not a command to delete your primary iCloud Mail address or Apple Account. If you have three aliases, Apple says you must wait seven days after deleting one before creating a replacement. Some users who retained five MobileMe aliases after migration cannot replace one of those addresses after deleting it.
What happens to mail sent to the alias?
Messages addressed to either a disabled or deleted alias are returned to the sender; they do not keep arriving in your primary inbox. Before changing the setting, update important contacts, mailing lists, and online accounts that use the alias. If you are uncertain whether you still need it, disable it first so you can reactivate it later.

If you meant Hide My Email
Hide My Email addresses are unique random addresses that forward to a personal email account. On iPhone, Apple places their controls at Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Hide My Email. You can also manage them through iCloud.com. Apple says a Hide My Email address can be deactivated and later reactivated; only inactive addresses can be deleted, and deletion is permanent. Those controls are distinct from standard iCloud Mail aliases and from addresses managed through Sign in with Apple. If you cannot find your address in Mail settings, identify how it was created before deleting anything.
