Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →To create a PDF from HTML in Zapier, add a PDF conversion app such as PDF.co after the step that supplies your HTML or URL, select its HTML to PDF Converter action, map the input, configure the page options, and test the resulting document. If the PDF needs to be kept or delivered, add a separate storage or sending step: PDF.co says its returned output URL is temporary.
Set up an HTML-to-PDF Zap with PDF.co
- Choose a trigger. Start with the event that produces the source material, such as a form submission, a new HTML file, or an event in another app. Confirm that the trigger output contains the HTML, a template result, or a URL that the next step can use.
- Add the conversion action. In the next Zap step, choose PDF.co and the HTML to PDF Converter action. PDF.co’s Zapier setup requires an active PDF.co account, an API key, and sufficient credits. See PDF.co’s Zapier integration guide for its connection details.
- Map the input. Pass the upstream HTML or template output, or map a web URL into the appropriate input field. PDF.co’s action documentation describes HTML and URL input and lists support for Handlebars and Mustache templates. Check the fields available in your Zap action and ensure the mapped value is the kind of input you intend to convert. See PDF.co’s Zapier app listing.
- Configure the document. Set page size, orientation, margins, background rendering, media type, and filename as needed. Use landscape only when the content, such as a wide table, requires it; otherwise, portrait is generally the more natural starting point. Available settings depend on the action fields shown in your Zapier account.
- Test and inspect the PDF. Run the action with representative content, then open the returned PDF. Check that all expected text and images appear, page breaks are sensible, orientation and margins suit the content, and the filename is correct. PDF.co’s Zapier HTML-to-PDF tutorial recommends checking the generated document.
- Store or deliver the file if required. Add a downstream Zap step to save or send the PDF—for example, to Google Drive, Dropbox, Airtable, or email. PDF.co’s tutorial notes that its output URL is temporary, so do not treat that URL as permanent storage.
Choose the converter based on your incoming content
PDF.co is a documented option when the Zap passes HTML or a URL and you want settings such as page size, orientation, margins, or background rendering. PDF4me is another documented route, especially when the workflow passes an HTML file. Its Zapier guide describes choosing portrait or landscape and receiving a PDF file URL for later Zap steps; it also describes support for embedded CSS and media. Rendering may differ between services, so test with the actual input rather than assuming their PDFs will match.
PDF4me’s action is called Convert HTML to PDF. Review its input requirements and fields in PDF4me’s Zapier integration guide. The available documentation does not establish a current comparative price, quota, or service-limit advantage for either converter.
Make the result dependable
Test the kind of document you will actually produce
A short sample may not expose problems that appear in a real report or invoice. Test representative content with the same CSS, images, tables, and template data your live Zap will receive. Inspect multiple pages, not just the first one, and verify that the intended content survives conversion.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Plan for output retention
The conversion step creates the PDF, but persistence is a separate workflow decision. If a person or later Zap step needs the file after the converter’s temporary output URL is no longer available, add an explicit save or delivery action and test that handoff.
Keep account access and credits in view
For PDF.co, the connection depends on an active account, API key, and sufficient credits. Confirm that the credentials are valid and the account can run a conversion before relying on the Zap for recurring document generation.

Troubleshooting common problems
- The PDF.co connection cannot be established: Confirm that the PDF.co account is active, the API key is entered correctly, and the account has sufficient credits.
- The converter receives no usable content: Inspect the trigger test data and the mapped field. Make sure you mapped HTML, template output, or a URL into the corresponding input rather than an unrelated field.
- Content, styling, or media is missing: Check the source HTML and its references, then run a test using the same content you plan to process in production. Compare PDF.co and PDF4me using that input if the current service does not render it as required.
- Text or tables are cut off: Review page size, margins, and orientation. A wide table may need landscape orientation or adjusted margins; inspect the full document after changing the settings.
- The PDF link stops working later: PDF.co identifies its output URL as temporary. Add and test a downstream action that stores the PDF or sends it to its intended recipient.
Or skip the browser setup
If the goal is a clean screenshot of a rendered web page rather than a paginated PDF document, ScreenshotNeo offers a one-request screenshot API and an MCP server. It accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status.
For a screenshot file, use this cURL request (replace the URL with the page you want to capture):
curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. ScreenshotNeo also provides an MCP server for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients, with tools for screenshots, page information, and PDF capture. The free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month without a card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000. Sign up for ScreenshotNeo.
