To run a Hindi karaoke stream on YouTube around the clock, prepare a rights-cleared playlist, connect a software or hardware encoder to YouTube Live, and arrange monitoring and recovery for outages and copyright interruptions. YouTube may scan live audio and video for third-party matches, so a karaoke recording or a licence alone does not guarantee the stream will stay online.
First-time live streaming may take up to 24 hours to become available after account verification. Enable the feature and test the setup well before your planned launch.
Before you build the stream, clear the music
Choose the catalog before you design the broadcast. A karaoke version may involve several separate rights, and the people or companies controlling them may differ. YouTube explains that music rights can be administered by multiple parties; a record label commonly controls the master recording. What permission a particular Hindi song requires depends on the song, recording, territory, and applicable law.
For every track, keep written terms that address the actual way you intend to use it: repeated continuous live streaming, the countries where it will be available, monetization, lyric display or translation, and what the rights holder will do about Content ID. Treat this as a clearance checklist, not a universal legal ruling.

Owning or buying a karaoke recording does not by itself establish that you have every permission needed to stream the underlying commercial song or display its lyrics. Do not assume that lyrics being available online gives you permission to reproduce or translate them.
Why Content ID allowlisting matters
YouTube says all live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content. If its systems detect a match, YouTube may replace the stream with a placeholder, warn you, interrupt the broadcast, or terminate it. YouTube advises licensees to ask the rights holder to put the channel on its Content ID allowlist; a stream can still be interrupted without allowlisting even if you have a licence or limit the stream to authorized territories.

An archived live video may also receive a Content ID claim after the broadcast ends. A rights agreement should therefore address both the live feed and any replay you intend to keep.

Creator Music is not a shortcut for live karaoke
YouTube’s Creator Music terms say tracks offered for licensing or revenue sharing are for long-form videos, not live streams. Its restrictions also prohibit making karaoke videos, lyric videos, or translated lyrics from Creator Music tracks. Do not use Creator Music as the music source or rights solution for this format.

Prepare the karaoke feed and choose an encoder
An encoder sends your prepared audio and video to YouTube Live. It can be software running on a computer or dedicated hardware. For a prerecorded karaoke feed, a camera and microphone are not required unless you are also adding a live host or performer.
Prepare the playlist and visuals only from material cleared for your intended use. Check that lyrics are readable and synchronized where lyric display is permitted, and that the audio levels are consistent from track to track. Keep source files and a copy of the playlist order and broadcast settings so you can restore the feed after a failure.

Software encoder on a computer
A computer running encoder software is a flexible do-it-yourself route. It can send the prepared feed to YouTube, but the computer, encoder, power, and internet connection need to remain available for the broadcast to continue. Plan how the encoder will restart after a crash or disconnection and how you will notice that it stopped. YouTube does not specify a minimum computer configuration for this prepared-feed use case.
Standalone hardware encoder
A standalone hardware encoder can send a prepared feed without relying on a general-purpose computer for encoding. It still depends on power, network access, configured media playback, and someone or something to detect and address a failure. YouTube identifies software and standalone hardware as encoder options but does not prescribe a model or guarantee that either can run unattended indefinitely.

Set video and audio output deliberately
In the encoder, select a stable output format and use the current encoder recommendations or preset shown by YouTube for your stream. Set resolution, frame rate, bitrate, audio format, and keyframe interval consistently with that preset, and verify that your source files can play at the chosen output settings. The appropriate values depend on the stream configuration; do not copy an arbitrary bitrate or keyframe value from a different setup.
If your encoder offers a YouTube preset, use it as the starting point rather than guessing. The final output should be checked in YouTube’s preview before you make the stream public. Keep the stream key private: anyone who obtains it may be able to send video to your broadcast.

- Enable live streaming early. Verify your YouTube account and enable the live feature in advance. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours.
- Create the broadcast. In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Create or schedule the stream, then set its title, description, visibility, and other available controls.
- Connect the encoder. Follow the Live Control Room setup: select a YouTube encoder preset or copy the stream URL and stream key into the encoder. Treat the key like a password and do not include it in screenshots, public instructions, or shared configuration files.
- Test as unlisted. YouTube for Artists recommends testing an unlisted stream before the go-live date. Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview, audio levels, picture, lyric timing, and the watch page from a separate viewer device.
- Launch the scheduled stream. Start the encoder, confirm that YouTube receives the feed, and click Go Live in Studio if the scheduled workflow requires that step. Verify the public watch page after launch.
- Monitor the feed. Watch for encoder disconnections, poor audio or video, rights warnings, and Content ID notices. YouTube’s streaming guidance recommends continuous quality monitoring for live events.
Make a 24/7 stream operationally resilient
Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a channel with a 24/7 live feed. That describes a possible broadcast design, not an uptime promise. A continuous stream still needs a plan for the computer or encoder, power, internet, file playback, and copyright alerts.
- Recovery: Decide who or what will restart the encoder and resume playback after a crash or network interruption. Test the restart path before going public.
- Monitoring: Set up a way to detect a missing feed or an alert in YouTube Studio, and assign a person to respond to Content ID messages and other notices.
- Backups: Keep backup copies of media files, playlist order, and encoder configuration. Know how to reconnect using the stream URL and key if you have to rebuild the broadcast.
- Network and power: Consider what happens during an outage at the streaming location. A local encoder cannot send a feed while its power or internet connection is unavailable.
- Replays: YouTube automatically archives streams shorter than 12 hours. Its help guidance does not promise that a longer continuous stream will be archived as a complete replay. If full replays matter, decide whether to segment the program or record it locally, and verify the current archive behavior in Studio before launch.
Troubleshoot common failures
