To connect smart glasses, use the companion app specified for your exact brand and model, then follow its pairing instructions; Bluetooth alone may not complete setup. For Ray-Ban Meta glasses, that means turning on Bluetooth, putting the glasses in pairing mode with the charging case, and adding them in the Meta AI app. The steps below are specific to Ray-Ban Meta; other glasses may use a different app or process.
Connect Ray-Ban Meta glasses to an iPhone or Android phone
Ray-Ban’s official instructions require a charged, switched-on pair of glasses, Bluetooth on the phone, and the Meta AI app. Pair through the app rather than relying only on the phone’s Bluetooth menu. The case’s blinking blue light signals that the glasses are in pairing mode.
- Prepare the phone and glasses. Charge and switch on the glasses, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and open or install the Meta AI app.
- Put the glasses in pairing mode. Place them in their case and hold the button on the back of the case for five seconds. Wait for the blue light to blink.
- Add them in the app. In the Meta AI app, choose Add device and follow the on-screen instructions. The glasses may take up to ten seconds to appear. (Ray-Ban, Ray-Ban | Meta FAQs, accessed October 7, 2026.)
What differs between iPhone and Android setup?

These are Ray-Ban Meta-specific instructions, not a universal iPhone-versus-Android comparison. The app, prompts, and pairing sequence can differ with another glasses brand or model.
Fix glasses that do not appear or will not reconnect
If the glasses do not show up in the Meta AI app, Ray-Ban recommends switching them off and back on, then quitting and reopening the app. For failed pairing or reconnection, try these checks in order:

- Move the phone closer to the glasses and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Check whether the glasses show as connected in the phone’s Bluetooth settings.
- Turn Bluetooth off and back on, then close and reopen the Meta AI app.
- Restart both the phone and the glasses.
- If they still will not pair, unpair the glasses in the app, remove their entry from the phone’s Bluetooth device list, and pair again using the app’s Add device flow.
For Android calls or music that fail after setup, check the Bluetooth entry and confirm that both calls and audio are enabled for the glasses.
