1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsYou can use Turso with a Supabase application, but the two services remain separate: Supabase’s client handles Supabase Auth and Supabase APIs, while Turso’s TypeScript SDK connects to Turso. Put Turso queries in trusted server-side code, keep its credentials out of browser code, and explicitly authorize each request before accessing Turso data.
How Turso and Supabase fit together
This architecture combines two independent data services at the application layer; it does not replace Supabase’s Postgres database or make Turso a database managed through Supabase. Supabase platform services are built around the project’s Postgres database, while Turso is accessed separately with its own database client. See Supabase’s platform architecture and Turso’s TypeScript quickstart.
Decide which service owns each kind of record, then use the corresponding client for its queries. Supabase Auth stores authentication information in the Supabase project’s auth schema; Turso data remains in Turso. Supabase’s client and APIs serve Supabase Auth and Postgres-backed services, not as a Turso driver. Supabase describes its Auth data and database relationships in its user data guide.
Set up both clients independently
- Prepare Turso credentials. Create or identify a Turso database and obtain its database URL and authentication token using Turso’s current dashboard or CLI instructions. The TypeScript quickstart uses the configuration names
TURSO_DATABASE_URLandTURSO_AUTH_TOKEN. Store both as server-side environment variables or hosting-platform secrets; do not put the token in browser-delivered code. Follow the current Turso TypeScript quickstart for the package and installation commands, which can change. - Initialize the Turso client on the server. Install the documented TypeScript SDK and configure its client with the database URL and token from private server configuration. Use this client for Turso queries.
- Initialize Supabase separately. Configure the Supabase client with your project URL and a publishable key for frontend Data API access. Use it for Supabase Auth and Supabase APIs, not for querying Turso. Supabase recommends frontend use of publishable keys with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled and least-privilege policies; its API keys guidance explains the key boundaries.
- Route Turso work through trusted code. When a request needs Turso data, have a server route or function authenticate the user and check application authorization before reading or changing the corresponding Turso records. Keep the Turso credentials available only to that trusted code.
Enforce authorization across the identity boundary
A successful Supabase sign-in does not automatically make Turso rows subject to Supabase Postgres RLS. Your server-side application code must decide which authenticated user may access which Turso records, and enforce that decision before issuing the Turso query. Map the authenticated identity to your application’s Turso records explicitly.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Supabase documents triggers and foreign keys for linking Auth information to objects in its own Postgres database. Those database mechanisms do not automatically span into Turso. Keep the trust boundary clear: authenticate with Supabase, verify the user and their authorization in trusted application code, then query Turso through its SDK. Supabase’s Auth user data guidance and key security guidance cover the Supabase-side pieces.
Do not use Supabase secret or service-role keys in frontend code: Supabase says these bypass RLS and must remain on the backend. A publishable key is appropriate for frontend Data API access only when paired with RLS and least-privilege policies. These controls protect Supabase resources; they do not authorize access to Turso.

Choose where each query and check belongs
| Concern | Supabase | Turso |
|---|---|---|
| Data ownership | Supabase Auth information and records stored in the project’s Postgres database | Records stored in the separate Turso database |
| Query client | Supabase client and APIs | Turso TypeScript SDK |
| Frontend access | Data API access with a publishable key, RLS enabled, and least-privilege policies | Keep database credentials private; query from trusted server-side code |
| Authorization for Turso records | Supabase authentication can establish the user identity | Application server verifies that identity and checks authorization before querying Turso |
| Credential handling | Publishable key may be used in frontend code; secret and service-role keys remain backend-only | Keep TURSO_DATABASE_URL and TURSO_AUTH_TOKEN in server configuration or a hosting secret store |
Check your deployment runtime before shipping
The official Turso quickstart documents the SDK setup, but the documentation reviewed does not establish compatibility for every SDK and Supabase deployment runtime. Confirm that your chosen server route or function supports the specific SDK before treating an example as deployment-ready. The integration approach here composes the services in application code rather than relying on a documented native Supabase-to-Turso integration.
The official documentation cited here does not provide a benchmark or pricing comparison for this combined architecture. Choose which service owns each dataset and where authorization runs based on your application’s requirements, rather than assuming a performance or cost advantage.
