To completely uninstall Ubisoft Connect on Windows, back up your saves, use the Windows uninstall option, make a deliberate choice about keeping games and local saves when Ubisoft’s prompt appears, then remove the Ubisoft-documented installation cache if you want that cleanup too. The default install path is C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher, but check your PC because the location may differ.
Before uninstalling: protect saves and choose what to keep
Ubisoft recommends closing Connect and backing up save files before removing the launcher. Its uninstaller may offer to keep or remove installed games and local save files, so read the prompt carefully and choose the outcome you want rather than assuming either will be preserved. Ubisoft’s reinstall instructions describe these choices.
Ubisoft lists the default save location as a savegames folder inside the Ubisoft Connect installation folder. Individual games may store saves differently, so do not treat that default as a complete inventory of every game’s saves. Uninstall Ubisoft Connect using Windows
These routes apply to Ubisoft Connect PC on Windows 10 or Windows 11. Follow the Ubisoft prompts during removal, including the choice about installed games and local saves.

- Settings: Open Start > Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find Ubisoft Connect, select the menu beside it, and choose Uninstall.
- Start menu: Open Start > All apps, find Ubisoft Connect, and select Uninstall if that option is available.
- Control Panel fallback: Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select Ubisoft Connect, and choose Uninstall or Uninstall/Change.
Microsoft documents all three routes; the Settings route is the direct option on current Windows versions, while Control Panel is useful if the app does not appear or uninstall through Settings. See Microsoft’s Windows uninstall instructions.
Delete Ubisoft Connect’s documented cache folder
Ubisoft’s reinstall instructions identify the Cache folder in the Connect installation location as a cleanup step. The default installation directory is C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launcher; check the actual location used on your PC before deleting anything. If Connect was installed elsewhere, look in that installation directory for the Cache folder and remove that folder after uninstalling.

Ubisoft’s separate cache troubleshooting page also lists a per-user cache location, C:Users<Username>AppDataLocalUbisoft Game Launchercache, in addition to the installation cache at C:Program Files (x86)UbisoftUbisoft Game Launchercache. That page’s procedure is for clearing cache while continuing to use Connect: log out, close Connect fully, rename the cache folders, and restart Connect so it recreates empty folders. That is not the same as the uninstall cleanup instruction to delete the installation Cache folder. Review Ubisoft’s cache instructions and verify each path before removing it.
If Ubisoft Connect will not uninstall
- Restart Windows and try the uninstall route again, as Microsoft recommends.
- If Settings does not remove it, try Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- For Windows 10 problems such as incomplete uninstall data, Microsoft documents its Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. Follow Microsoft’s current instructions at Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.
Microsoft states that Windows 10 support ended October 14, 2025. That is its support-status date; it does not by itself establish whether the troubleshooter will resolve a particular uninstall problem.

What about a Mac?
The Ubisoft instructions and paths above cover Ubisoft Connect PC on Windows. The available Ubisoft guidance does not establish a Mac-specific Connect uninstall procedure or identify Mac leftovers. Apple’s general advice for Mac apps is to quit the app, use its own uninstaller if it has one, or move it to Trash and empty Trash; Apple notes that deleting an app does not remove documents or other files created with it.
