To choose Nerf darts that fit, identify your blaster’s exact model and check its official product page, packaging, or instructions for the required dart family. Elite, Ultra, and N Series N1 darts are different families—not universal refills—so match the label before you buy.
Which Nerf darts fit my blaster?
Start with the dart-family name specified for your exact blaster model. Check the marking on the blaster, its packaging, or the official Hasbro product page or instructions. The examples below cover three families documented by Hasbro; they are not a complete compatibility list for every Nerf model or historical dart type.

If your model is not listed, look up that model directly in its manual or on Hasbro’s product site. If the required dart family still is not clear, ask Hasbro Consumer Care before purchasing rather than guessing.
Do Nerf darts fit all blasters?
No. The Nerf name alone does not establish compatibility. Hasbro explicitly limits Ultra darts to Ultra blasters and N1 darts to N Series blasters. Elite refills are for blasters that use Elite darts; Hasbro lists several compatible lines, but that does not mean every Nerf blaster uses Elite darts.

How to check before buying
- Find the model name. Read the name printed on the blaster or its packaging.
- Open the official product page or instructions. Search by the exact model on Hasbro’s site, or use the manual that came with the blaster.
- Confirm the dart family. Look for a specific name such as Elite, Ultra, or N Series N1.
- Match the refill listing. Check that its packaging names the same family and, if it lists compatible models or lines, that yours is included.
- Follow the product’s use and safety directions. Do not modify darts or the blaster.
Does dart type affect distance or accuracy?
Consider performance only after confirming compatibility. Hasbro’s Elite refill page advertises a distance of up to 85 feet (26 meters), but says distance varies by blaster; this is a manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed result for every setup. Hasbro Elite darts.

In its “Nerf Darts Analysis Process & Findings” document, Hasbro reports that AccuStrike darts had the smallest average shot diameter—25.57 inches—in the test described, and concludes that they produced the most precise and repeatable results among the dart types tested. The accessible document does not show a publication year. Treat this as a result limited to that manufacturer-described test, not a promise about every blaster, dart, or current model. Follow the instructions for your specific product. Hasbro’s product safety warning says: “Do not aim at eyes or face. Use of eyewear recommended for players and people within range. Use only official Nerf darts. Other darts may not meet safety standards. Do not modify darts or blaster.” Use appropriate eyewear and keep shots away from faces.
