If you want a PS5-compatible controller with Hall effect sticks, compare the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro and the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded—but check the exact version and its PS5 feature support before buying. Hall effect sensing is designed to reduce stick-drift risk; it is not a guarantee against drift or other input faults.
What Hall effect sticks do—and what they do not promise
Hall effect sticks use magnetic sensing to detect stick movement. The feature is intended to reduce the risk of drift, a problem in which a stick registers movement when it is untouched. It does not establish that a controller will never drift or develop another input problem. No long-term comparative failure rates are established here, so do not treat the technology as a lifetime guarantee.
Compare the PS5-compatible options
| Controller | Hall effect features | PS5-specific considerations | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nacon Revolution 5 Pro | Nacon documents Hall effect sticks and triggers. | Nacon says its vibration motors work with PC and PS4 games, but not dedicated PS5 games. It also does not have adaptive triggers. It requires a dedicated dongle for compatibility and cannot wake a PS5; Nacon says only a Sony DualSense can wake the console. | Confirm the current regional model and compatibility details. Consider whether the vibration and adaptive-trigger tradeoffs fit the games you play. |
| Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded | Product coverage describes Hall effect thumbsticks and triggers. | It is a modular alternative. The Reloaded is a distinct generation from the original Pro BFG. | Check that the listing is specifically for the Reloaded and that the modules you want are included. Confirm the regional SKU’s current manufacturer specifications. |

- Modularity and ergonomics: For a modular controller such as the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded, verify which stick and button modules come with the specific listing, rather than assuming every configuration includes the same parts.
- Calibration and controls: Check whether the model offers calibration, dead-zone adjustments, remappable buttons, and software for customization.
- Wireless connection: Confirm whether it connects directly or needs a dongle, and check any limits on waking the console.
- PS5 feedback: If you rely on DualSense-style haptics or adaptive triggers, check their support explicitly. Nacon documents that the Revolution 5 Pro lacks adaptive triggers and does not vibrate in dedicated PS5 games.
Check the exact model before buying
- Read the product name and SKU on the retailer listing. Distinguish the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded from the original Pro BFG, and confirm the listing describes the Hall effect configuration.
- Check the manufacturer’s current specification for your region to confirm PS5 compatibility, supported features, and included modules.
- Review connection and console-wake requirements, plus any limits on PS5 vibration or adaptive triggers that affect your games.
- Check current availability, warranty terms, and regional support directly with the seller or manufacturer; these can vary and change.
Replacement parts and support
Nacon says spare parts are available through the MyNacon portal. Check the portal for current availability and regional service before relying on a replacement part for the Revolution 5 Pro. That model-specific route does not establish parts availability for other controllers.
