Choose a case by measuring the figure as it will be displayed—not by relying on a “10-inch” label. Measure its full height, width, and depth, including its base and accessories, then compare all three with the case’s usable fit dimensions. Also check the case’s outer dimensions against your shelf: a case can fit the figure but not the space.
Measure the figure and the case separately
Measure the collectible in its intended pose, including any hat, weapon, base, or other part that sticks out. Record height, width, and depth. Then compare each measurement with the case maker’s stated fit limits, leaving enough clearance for the figure to sit without touching the panels.
- Figure measurements: Include the full displayed footprint and protrusions, not just the figure’s body.
- Usable case dimensions: Check whether the listed fit dimensions are interior clearance limits. If a listing does not say whether dimensions are interior or exterior, ask the seller before buying.
- Outer dimensions: Compare these with the shelf or cabinet space available, including room to lift off a cover if it opens from above.
For example, BrickShell lists its 10-Inch Statue Display Case for figures up to 10 inches tall, 8¼ inches wide, and 8¼ inches deep. Its listed outer dimensions are 10⅜ × 8½ × 8½ inches. Those are seller-published specifications, not independent measurements; confirm the fit for your particular figure before ordering.
Choose a format that suits access and display
A pressure-fit lift-off cover is simple to remove when you need to handle or reposition the figure. BrickShell describes its example as pressure-fit, with a stable base and clear all-around viewing. The listing does not provide a weight rating, so do not assume those features establish suitability for a heavy or top-heavy collectible.

Compare the access style with other formats available to you, such as hinged or sliding covers. Think about how often you expect to open the case, whether the shelf allows space to lift a cover clear, and whether the figure’s center of gravity is supported by the base.
Check materials and protection claims
Look for stated material, thickness, panel clarity, seams, and assembly details. BrickShell lists its 10-inch statue case as 5 mm acrylic with snap-fit assembly. Display Geek lists 3 mm acrylic for a different product designed for a particular boxed Funko Pop format. Those specifications describe two distinct listings; they do not establish a general durability ranking.

Dust reduction and UV protection are separate considerations. BrickShell advertises dust and UV protection, but the listing does not provide independent performance testing. Wetop describes custom collectible cases with grade-specific UV-filtering acrylic. When preservation matters, look for a stated UV-filter grade or quantified transmission rating rather than relying on broad marketing language. The cited listings do not provide independent test results for comparing their protection.
Decide whether you are displaying the figure or its box
A loose figure and its original packaging need different cases. Display Geek’s 10-inch skinny case is intended for specified 10-inch Funko Pop box formats and includes a fitting guide; it warns against assuming that unlisted boxes will fit. Use the product-specific guide and box dimensions rather than treating a case for a loose 10-inch figure as interchangeable.

Consider a standard or custom-size case
A standard acrylic case can be a straightforward choice when the figure falls within the stated fit limits and the outer dimensions suit your shelf. BrickShell’s listing showed a price of $54.99 when searched; price and availability can change. The figure is not included.
For an unusually wide, deep, or posed collectible, a custom case may be worth considering. Wetop describes custom cases with grade-specific UV-filtering options, but its cited program has a 100-piece minimum, which may not suit an individual collector. Confirm the current minimum and specifications directly with the manufacturer.
