How to Check Which PS Plus Games Your Tier Includes

Use PlayStation’s official PS Plus games finder to check the current US selection, then match the game’s category to your plan. Essential includes monthly games, Extra adds the Game Catalog, and Premium adds the Classics Catalog and select game trials. A title appearing on the broad games page does not mean it is included with every tier.

Check a game in the official PlayStation finder

Open PlayStation’s PS Plus games page.
Use the game-type filters to browse monthly games, the Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, or game trials. Narrow the results by genre if useful.
Find the title and note which category it appears in. Then compare that category with the benefits of your subscription tier below.
Check the listing again close to when you plan to play. Catalog titles can leave the service, and the page warns that some games have an end date.

Which tier includes the game?

In the US, Sony describes the tier benefits this way. A game’s category—not simply its presence somewhere on the PS Plus page—determines whether your plan includes access.

Tier	Relevant game access	How to use this when checking a title
Essential	Monthly games; no Game Catalog access.	If the title is in the Game Catalog, Essential alone does not include it. Check whether it is currently offered as a monthly game instead.
Extra	Essential benefits plus the Game Catalog. Sony’s current games page also lists Ubisoft+ Classics.	Look for the title in the Game Catalog and confirm it is still available.
Premium	Essential and Extra benefits, plus the Classics Catalog and select game trials. Streaming is available for eligible titles and devices.	Check whether the title is in the Game Catalog, Classics Catalog, or trial selection; confirm eligibility for the way you want to play.

Sony’s pages describe these US offerings; plan names and available games may differ elsewhere. For another region, use its local PlayStation site rather than assuming the US catalog applies.

Browse the catalogs on your console

PS5

From the Games home screen, select PlayStation Plus.
Open Benefits, then select Game Catalog.
Browse for the game. Your account needs the corresponding plan to download a catalog title.

PS4

From the function screen, select PlayStation Plus.
Select Game Catalog and browse for the title.
Your account needs the corresponding plan to download a catalog title.

These console paths are documented by PlayStation Support. Menu labels can change, so if a label differs, use the current PlayStation Plus area on your console or the web finder.

Check and claim monthly games separately

Monthly games are a rotating selection for all three tiers, not the same thing as the Game Catalog or Classics Catalog. Sony says new monthly games are added each calendar month. To add one to your library:

PS5: Games home screen > PlayStation Plus > Benefits > Monthly Games. Select a title and choose Download or Add to Library, as available.
PS4: Function screen > PlayStation Plus > Monthly Games. Select a title and choose Download or Add to Library, as available.

Before you rely on a catalog listing

Look for removal dates. Some Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles have a service end date. Sony says catalog access applies while a title remains in the service and the member has the corresponding plan.
Distinguish access from ownership. Monthly games can be added to your library while offered; catalog games are available through the service only while they remain in the catalog and your plan qualifies.
Check streaming eligibility title by title. Premium supports streaming for many catalog and classic catalog games, but support depends on the title and platform. Sony’s catalog guide lists a 5 Mbps minimum broadband speed for streaming; that minimum does not establish that every title or device can stream.
Use the right region. The instructions and tier comparison here are based on official US PlayStation pages. Check your local PlayStation site for territory-specific listings and plan details.
