To check whether your phone supports multiple GNSS systems, find its exact model and sales region, then check the manufacturer’s technical specifications for named systems such as GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, or BeiDou. On Android, a GNSS status app can show which constellation categories the phone reports receiving during a live test—but that is not a complete list of what the phone supports.
What “multiple GNSS systems” means
GNSS is the umbrella term for satellite navigation. GPS is one system; others include Russia’s GLONASS, Europe’s Galileo, China’s BeiDou, Japan’s QZSS, and India’s NavIC, also called IRNSS. A specification that names two or more of these for your exact phone variant indicates multi-constellation support.
A specification that says only “GPS” or “GNSS” does not establish which other constellations the phone supports. Look for the individual names rather than inferring capability from a generic location feature or a chipset family.
Check the exact model’s official specifications
- Identify the phone precisely. Find its full model identifier and generation in the phone’s About screen, and note the market or region for which it was sold.
- Open the manufacturer’s technical specifications for that exact model and region. Look under entries such as Location, GPS, or GNSS.
- Record every named constellation. For example, note whether the list includes GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS, or NavIC/IRNSS. Do not treat an unnamed system as supported.
- Check frequency support separately if you need to know whether the phone is dual-band or supports multiple frequencies. Search the specification for “dual-band,” “dual-frequency,” or specific signal bands.
Regional variants can differ. Google’s Pixel hardware specifications, for example, separate US and rest-of-world GNSS information, and the systems listed may vary by market. Match the specification entry to your precise model and region rather than relying on a listing for a different variant.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
Use a live GNSS status view on Android
Android’s GnssStatus API assigns reported satellites to constellation categories, including GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, BeiDou, Galileo, IRNSS, SBAS, and unknown. A suitable GNSS status or diagnostic app can display those categories.
- Go outdoors to a location with a clear view of the sky.
- Open a GNSS status app that shows satellite constellation categories, then give the receiver time to report satellites.
- Check which named categories appear in the live display. An appearing category is evidence that the phone reported satellites in that category during the test.
A live display shows what is being reported at that moment, not every capability in the phone’s hardware. If a constellation does not appear during a short test, that alone does not prove the phone lacks support; conditions and satellite visibility affect what the receiver reports. Use the exact model’s official specification to determine its supported systems.

- SUPERIOR COMFORT — Unlike traditional circular ear buds, the design of EarPods is defined by the geometry of the ear. Which makes them more comfortable for more people than any other ear bud–style headphones.
- HIGH-QUALITY AUDIO — The speakers inside EarPods have been engineered to maximize sound output and minimize sound loss, which means you get high-quality audio.
- BUILT-IN REMOTE — EarPods with USB-C plug also include a built-in remote that lets you adjust the volume, control the playback of music and video, and answer or end calls with a pinch of the cord.
- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.
Do not confuse constellations with frequency bands
Supporting several constellations and supporting several signal frequencies are different capabilities. A phone may list multiple systems without its specification claiming dual-band GNSS. Google lists dual-band separately from the constellation information in its Pixel specifications.
Android’s GnssMeasurement API also treats constellation and signal or code-type information as distinct details. The API describes measurement categories; it does not prove that a particular phone supports every listed system or signal. Check the manufacturer’s specification for the handset-specific claim.

What Android compatibility language does—and does not—guarantee
The Android 12 Compatibility Definition Document says a device declaring the GNSS feature must simultaneously track and report at least 8 satellites from one constellation. It also says such a device should be able to track at least 24 satellites from multiple constellations, such as GPS plus at least one of GLONASS, BeiDou, or Galileo. The multi-constellation wording is a recommendation, not a guarantee that every Android phone supports every constellation. These statements are specific to the Android 12 Compatibility Definition Document.
Checking an iPhone
Use Apple’s technical specifications for the exact iPhone model to check its listed location capabilities. There is no model-independent iOS settings path or live constellation-display procedure established here, so do not assume that an Android diagnostic method or menu applies to iPhones. For a specific model, verify the precise device against Apple’s own specifications before drawing conclusions about its supported systems.

Compare phones using the right criteria
- Named constellations: Which systems does the manufacturer list for the exact model?
- Market variant: Does the information apply to the region where the phone was sold?
- Frequency support: Is dual-band, dual-frequency, or a specific signal band explicitly stated?
- Live reporting: Can a diagnostic tool show constellation categories or measurement details on the device?
More constellation names do not, by themselves, establish a quantified accuracy advantage. The specifications and live-status checks described here help identify support and reported reception, not compare location accuracy.
