Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

The Play Store result is the most direct check for that specific device, but installability does not guarantee every feature will work well.
1. Check whether your Chromebook supports Android apps
- Connect to the internet and install any available ChromeOS updates.
- Open Settings > Apps > Manage Google Play preferences. You can reach Settings from the time area in the lower-right corner of the screen.
- If the option appears, follow the prompts to set up Google Play. If it is missing, Google says that Chromebook does not support Android apps. See Google Chromebook Help: Install & use Android apps on your Chromebook.
This check answers whether the Chromebook can use Android apps in general. It does not establish whether a particular app is available for your model.
2. Check the specific app in Google Play on the Chromebook
Open the Play Store on the Chromebook and search for the app. Google says apps shown while browsing Play Store on the Chromebook should work with that device. If you cannot find the app, its developer may have excluded Chromebook devices, or its availability may be limited for another device-specific reason. Google explains this check in Google Play Help: I can’t download apps from the Play Store on my Chromebook.
3. Understand an incompatibility notice
If the listing says “Your device is not compatible with this version,” Google Play Help says the specific Chromebook model cannot download that app. A required feature may be missing—for example, Google gives GPS as a possible requirement. Check the app developer’s requirements or contact the developer for information about that app.

- 【Strong Adsorption】The inspiration of the silicone phone suction case comes from the adhesive force of the octopus. Each suction cup phone mount is 3.15 inches long and 2.17 inches wide, with 24 independent suction cups providing a stronger and more stable suction force, so you don't have to worry about your phone falling during use.
- 【Back of Phone Suction Grip】Remove the adhesive film on the phone suction cup and stick it on the phone case. You can then fix the phone on any smooth surface, which is very convenient. (The phone suction cup cannot be removed and reused after being attached to the phone case. It is recommended to attach it to a regular phone case, not a valuable one.)
- 【Widely Used】Our non-slip silicone phone sticky grip mount attaches to almost any flat phone case and make it compatible with common mobile phones such as iPhone and Android. You can shoot, watch videos or video calls in the kitchen, gym, dance studio, bathroom and other places.
- 【Capture the Wonderful Picture】Whether you are a TikTok creator or just like to share videos and photos, this phone suction cup can help you hands-free capture wonderful videos and photos for sharing with friends.
- 【Note】You can fix the phone suction cup on a smooth surface such as a mirror or glass. If necessary, wipe the suction cup with a damp cloth to obtain stronger suction. Before releasing your hand, make sure the phone is firmly fixed. (Not applicable to rough walls, wooden surfaces, and other uneven surfaces)
When checking through the Google Play website instead, use the device selector on the app’s listing. If your Chromebook is grayed out, it cannot install the app through that listing. Compatibility can depend on location, screen size, Android version, and the developer’s device targeting; availability can also change over time. See Google Play Help: App compatibility with Android and Chromebooks.
4. Consider whether the app will work well after installation
Being offered for installation is not the same as being a good functional fit. Review the developer’s requirements and consider whether the Chromebook has what the app expects, including:

- COMPATIBILITY — Works with all devices that have a USB-C port.
- INTEGRATED MICROPHONE — A built-in microphone precisely captures your voice while you’re on the phone, taking a FaceTime call, or summoning Siri — so you’re always heard loud and clear.

- Minimum memory or a specific hardware feature
Some features may behave differently on a Chromebook than on an Android phone. Google’s Chrome Enterprise and Education Help: Guidelines for deploying Android apps on Chromebooks discusses app requirements and Chromebook considerations.

On a managed Chromebook, an administrator may prevent Play Store setup, app downloads, or access to particular apps. If the Play Store option is unavailable or an app cannot be installed on a work or school device, ask the organization’s administrator whether its policy allows the app.
