Open the PlayStation Plus hub on the console tied to your account and check Monthly Games. If the title is listed there with the monthly-game claim or download option, you can add it while the offer is active. Check your local listing: PlayStation Plus game availability varies by country or region.
Check the Monthly Games list on your console
Sony recommends using the PlayStation Plus hub on your console to see the games available in your country or region. The menu path differs slightly between PS5 and PS4.

On PS5
- From the Games home screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Open the Benefits tab, then select Monthly Games.
- Highlight the game. If it is available as a monthly game, select Download to add it and start the download.
On PS4
- From the function screen, scroll right and select PlayStation Plus.
- Scroll down to Monthly Games and highlight the game.
- Select Add to Library, then Download.
Sony also supports selecting a PlayStation Plus game remotely through a web browser or the PlayStation App to start a download to PS5 or PS4. To check whether a particular monthly offer is still active, look at the game’s listing for your account and region and check whether it still offers the monthly-game claim action.
Use the right listing for your region
PlayStation warns that availability varies by country or region. A public games page or announcement for another market may show a different lineup, so use the PlayStation Plus hub on the console associated with your account for the most relevant check. Sony describes new games as being added every calendar month, but that cadence does not establish the last claim date for any specific title.

Check the exact claim deadline
Sony’s general access guide does not give one universal cutoff date or time for every monthly game. If you need to know whether a title is still claimable today, check its current local listing. For a precise deadline, also consult that title’s monthly announcement; do not assume a generic monthly schedule gives the final date or time.
Make sure it is a monthly game, not a catalog title
Monthly Games and the Game Catalog are separate PlayStation Plus benefits. A game appearing in the Game Catalog does not mean it is currently available to claim as one of the monthly games. Catalog games may have an end date and leave the service, so check which section contains the title.

Sony lists Monthly Games as a benefit of Essential, Extra, and Premium memberships. Extra adds Game Catalog access, while Premium adds Classics Catalog access, cloud streaming, and game trials. A higher plan is not required solely to access Monthly Games, provided your eligible membership is active.

Sony says monthly games can be downloaded and played at no extra cost while your PlayStation Plus membership is active. Once added to your library, you can access the game later as long as your membership remains active; adding it does not make access independent of the subscription.
