To check whether a specific 24/7 YouTube stream is reaching viewers in India, open YouTube Studio, select that stream in Analytics’ Advanced Mode, and filter by geography. This is processed, historical data—not a live country-by-country counter. While the stream is running, Live Control Room shows stream health and total concurrent viewers, but not their countries.
Check the stream while it is live
- Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room for the active stream and inspect Stream status. Read any status messages to see whether YouTube reports a delivery or stream-health issue. A healthy incoming feed confirms YouTube is receiving the stream; it does not confirm that viewers are watching.
- Read Concurrent viewers in the real-time analytics. This is the number of people watching simultaneously across all locations. It does not show how many are in India.
YouTube lists concurrent viewers, duration, likes, chat rate, views, and estimated average view duration among real-time metrics. Geography is not available in real-time reports, so a live dashboard cannot answer the India-specific question by itself. YouTube’s live stream metrics documentation explains the real-time measures.
Filter analytics for India on a specific stream
- In YouTube Studio, open Analytics and select Advanced Mode.
- Select the specific live stream’s video rather than relying on channel-wide analytics.
- Choose a date range that includes the stream’s viewing period.
- Apply a Geography filter and look for India in the results.
- If the report has little or no geography detail, widen the date range and remove other filters or breakdowns, then check again.
Advanced Mode supports selecting a video and filtering by geography. This report is processed rather than real time, and the rows available can depend on how much data YouTube can report. See YouTube Analytics Advanced Mode and its guidance on limited data.

Review the stream after it ends
- In Studio, go to Content > Live and open the relevant stream.
- Open its Analytics > Engagement view to review the video-level concurrent-viewer report. YouTube says these metrics are available within minutes after the stream ends.
- For peak and average concurrent viewers or discovery sources, review the Live content analytics. These help describe overall viewing and discovery, not the country of each simultaneous viewer.
- In Advanced Mode, export a video-level report if you need a repeatable record. Keep the selected video, date range, geography filter, and metrics consistent when comparing checks.

Interpret a missing India result carefully
A missing India row does not prove there were zero viewers in India. YouTube may limit geography details when values do not meet privacy or system thresholds; the thresholds are not published and can change. Limited reports may show only top rows, whose totals can therefore fall short of the report total.
- Extend the reporting period beyond 30 days, as YouTube suggests for limited data, and remove other filters or breakdowns.
- Check that the report is for the specific stream, not the channel as a whole.
- Check the video’s visibility: YouTube says geography data is unavailable for private or unlisted videos, regardless of traffic.
- If India still does not appear, describe the result as “India-specific data is not available in the report,” not “there are zero Indian viewers.” Consider it alongside the separate signals of stream status, overall concurrent viewers, and post-stream trends.

Do not mistake channel geography for one stream’s reach
The Audience tab’s Top geographies report describes the geographies with the most watch time for the channel. YouTube says those audience metrics can include Shorts, videos, live streams, and other uploaded content. It is useful channel-level context, but it cannot establish that one particular 24/7 stream reached India. Use the selected-video geography report for that question.
