Apple Shortcuts does not document a Safari screenshot action. Its Run JavaScript on Webpage action retrieves data from a webpage or modifies its contents; it is not an evidenced way to capture the rendered page as an image. To screenshot what is visible in Safari, use macOS Screenshot. To save a whole webpage for later rather than make an image, use Safari’s Web Archive option.
Capture a Safari page as an image with macOS Screenshot
Open the webpage in Safari and bring the content you want to capture into view. Press Shift-Command-5 to open Screenshot controls, then choose to capture the entire screen, a window, or a selected portion. The controls capture the displayed screen area; Apple does not document them as producing one image of an entire scrollable webpage.
For faster captures, use Shift-Command-3 for the entire screen or Shift-Command-4 to select a region. To capture a window or menu, press Shift-Command-4, then Space, and click the open window or menu. Hold Option while clicking to omit the window shadow.

Screenshots normally save to the desktop. To change the destination, open Screenshot controls with Shift-Command-5, select Options, and choose a save location. Apple notes that some apps may prevent their windows from being captured. On supported Mac models running macOS Tahoe 26 or later, Apple documents SDR/PNG and HDR/HEIF capture format choices; available controls can vary by Mac and macOS version. Apple’s Mac screenshot guide describes the available capture modes and options.

Can Apple Shortcuts take a Safari webpage screenshot?
Not using the documented JavaScript action. Apple describes Run JavaScript on Webpage as a way to retrieve specific data from a site or modify webpage contents—not as a screenshot action. It requires an active Safari webpage as input and permission to run scripts. Apple also warns that the JavaScript extension has a time limit.
If your goal is to automate extraction or change page content, create a Shortcut with the Run JavaScript on Active Safari Tab action (also referred to as Run JavaScript on Webpage), enable Allow Running Scripts in Safari’s settings, and run the Shortcut from Safari with the target page active. When the script returns data, it must call the completion handler. These requirements do not turn the action into a documented screenshot workflow. Save the whole webpage without making a screenshot
For an offline copy that retains webpage graphics and links, use Safari’s Web Archive format. With the page open, choose File > Save As, then select Web Archive as the format. Links in the archive work while their destination pages remain available. Safari may be unable to save some items shown on a webpage.
