The latest cited Pocket Gamer ranking is labeled version 3.2.6 and was updated October 4, 2026. It draws on the author’s experience and community information, and its writer, Mihail Katsoris, cautions: “That said, no tier list is absolute.” Your best team depends on which allies you have, how much you have invested in them, and whether you are building for progression or PvP.
What the current Soul Strike tier list says
Pocket Gamer’s Soul Strike tier list labels its ranking version 3.2.6. Its October 4, 2026 update notes five additions: Laurent, Ruelle, Aiyo, Hannia, and Riel. The page’s tier bands are a broad editorial assessment, not an official developer ranking or a controlled performance test; it gives no quantified win rates or statistical methodology.
The page describes S-tier allies as performing well into later stages. A-tier allies are presented as strong for most content but more dependent on team synergy, while B-tier allies are described as less effective than those above and candidates for replacement when better allies become available.
S tier
The page lists Charlotte, Zeros, Aiyo, Laurent, Howard, Chocolat, Hannia, Yeonhwa, Lumiel, Gestella, Zion, Ijin Yu, 003, Yeo-un Cheon, Avalanche, Sayah, Jiwoo Seo, Grandis, Rebecca, Chodan, Magenta, Scarlet, Edward Elric, Ignis, Eve, Alphonse Elric, Artamiel, Munkyu, Riza Hawkeye, Roy Mustang, Ran, Yuna, Felino, Sophia, Baine, Vivet, Vivian, Jayna, Mona, Duke, Violet, Mina, Delia, Inabelle, Wraith, and Versper in S tier. The source spells Roy Mustang as “Roy Mustand” in one entry, and the page includes repeated names or variants and apparent spelling inconsistencies; check the in-game ally name before relying on a spelling or assuming two entries are different allies.

A and B tiers
Use the live ranking page to check the specific A- or B-tier ally you own. The available summary of the page does not establish a complete, reliable list of names for those bands, so it is better not to infer one. The useful distinction is the page’s stated guidance: A-tier choices can work well with suitable synergy, while B-tier choices are framed as more replaceable as your roster improves.
How to turn the rankings into your team
- Use the list as a shortlist. Identify higher-ranked allies you own or can realistically acquire, but do not treat their placement as proof that they will outperform every alternative in every situation.
- Compare with your actual roster and investment. Choose among allies available to your account, taking progression and upgrades into account. Com2uS describes ally summons and progression systems, but its announcements do not identify the best summon or upgrade for a particular account (Companion Arena announcement; update and event announcement).
- Consider synergy when ranks are close. Pocket Gamer specifically says A-tier allies depend more on team synergy than S-tier allies. The available sources do not verify particular pairings or a complete role-based formation, so judge a combination against your own roster and results rather than treating an unverified pair as a rule.
- Choose for the mode you are playing. A lineup for Companion Arena is not automatically the right answer for general progression. Build and reassess teams in the context of the mode’s objective.
- Revisit the list after substantial updates. The version 3.2.6 page records five additions, a reminder that rankings can change as allies enter the game. Confirm that a recommendation still matches the current version you play.
Build separately for Companion Arena
Com2uS describes Companion Arena as PvP in which players strategically position five allies. The publisher says weekly points determine promotion or demotion across six ranks, from Bronze to Challenger. Those mechanics make Arena placement and the five-ally composition specific to that mode; they do not establish a universal five-ally PvE lineup. The announcement’s extract does not establish its publication date, so check the in-game rules for the current version before relying on its entry-ticket or ranking details.

The same announcement discusses unique transcendence for allies and skills after ten awakenings, using specified materials. It also describes a new mythical ally, Ruelle, in the Korean announcement; Pocket Gamer lists Ruelle in A tier. These references do not establish that a particular summon or event is currently available in every region. Com2uS’s separate update and event announcement also describes selectable ally summons and returning collaboration allies, illustrating that acquisition opportunities can rotate rather than providing a lasting summon recommendation.

Make a practical team from the allies you have, use the ranking to narrow your choices, and judge the result in the mode you care about. When two options are close, roster fit and synergy are more useful decision factors than treating the tier letter as a complete team plan.
