OpenAI documents scheduled tasks that can run once or recur, monitor for changes, and respond to supported app events, but those capabilities describe one possible product pattern—not the unconfirmed system behind Ankita’s loop. Define the schedule and the page-change rule
Choose when the check runs
Set a cadence that matches how quickly the information matters. A daily check may suit a slowly changing reference page; a time-sensitive update may call for a more frequent schedule or a supported event trigger. Record the timezone and expected run window so that “daily” has an unambiguous meaning.

Do not assume that a feature or recurrence limit applies to every user. OpenAI’s Help Center currently reports active-task limits by plan—3 for Free and Go, 5 for Plus, 10 for Business and Edu, and 15 for Pro and Enterprise—and says Free recurring schedules can run no more than once daily. These are account-specific product details and can change; check the current Scheduled Tasks Help Center page for the applicable account before relying on them.
Decide what counts as a meaningful change
A page watch is only as useful as its comparison rule. Specify the exact page or section to inspect, what kinds of updates matter, and what should be ignored. For example, a monitor could care about a posted deadline changing while disregarding a rotating banner—but that is a rule to define, not an established feature of Ankita’s setup.
The available account of this loop does not establish its detection method, noise controls, or failure behavior. Those details matter: without them, a reader cannot know whether the watcher compares page content, relies on a service’s change-monitoring feature, or can distinguish a material update from routine page edits. OpenAI’s product overview describes monitoring changes as a possible Work task, but does not specify the page-comparison method used here.

Deliver alerts to Telegram
Telegram’s Bot API is an HTTPS interface for server-side code. Its sendMessage method sends text to a target chat identifier; the integration therefore needs a bot, a destination chat, and code or a service authorized to make the API request. Telegram’s API overview explains that the Bot API lets developers build programs that use Telegram messages as an interface: Telegram Bot API.
- Create or select the bot. Keep its token in protected configuration, such as a secret store or environment variable. Telegram warns that anyone with the token has full control of the bot; do not place it in public code, logs, or screenshots. See Telegram’s BotFather documentation.
- Make the recipient reachable. A user must first contact the bot, or add it to a group, before the bot can initiate a conversation. Telegram states this requirement in its developer introduction.
- Configure the destination. Supply the intended chat identifier to the delivery step and verify that a test message reaches the right conversation.
- Send a concise alert. Include what changed, where it changed, and when the check ran. Telegram’s current Bot API reference, listed as version 10.3 dated August 24, 2026, allows 1–4096 characters of text after entity parsing for
sendMessage. See the method reference.
Make the workflow maintainable
A working demonstration is not yet a dependable routine. Before relying on a proactive loop, decide how it behaves when a check cannot access the page, a service permission expires, a scheduled run is missed, or Telegram rejects a message. Make failures visible rather than silently treating them as “no change.”
