First identify the exact model on its label, then use its matching De’Longhi manual or support page; do not assume a button sequence from another machine will apply. Strength usually refers to the coffee’s aroma or dose, while temperature, grind size and drink volume are separate adjustments.
Identify your model before changing settings
Find the model number on the machine’s product label and match it to the De’Longhi support page or Instructions for Use. De’Longhi’s Magnifica S ECAM22.110.W support center, for example, lists help for customizing aroma and adjusting the coffee mill alongside the manual. Use those model-specific materials for the exact control names and procedure.
The distinction matters: the documented ECAM 11.1XX–22.1XX models use panel controls for temperature settings, while ECAM32X.6Y–32X.7Y models use a settings menu and screen. These examples are not universal instructions.
Choose the adjustment that matches the result you want

Adjust aroma or strength
Look for the model’s aroma or strength control, then follow its manual or support instructions. Do not treat grind size or a larger drink volume as equivalent to the aroma setting: they change different parts of the brewing result. For the Magnifica S ECAM22.110.W, use De’Longhi’s model support materials for the exact aroma-customization steps.

On the Dinamica ECAM350.35W, the manual distinguishes a temporary aroma variation for automatic recipes from programmed coffee quantity. Consult its Instructions for Use to make the adjustment available on that model.
Set coffee temperature using the matching model procedure
ECAM 11.1XX–22.1XX family: panel controls
The De’Longhi manual for the ECAM 11.1XX–12.1XX–20.1XX–21.1XX–22.1XX family describes entering a temperature-setting procedure with panel buttons, selecting a temperature and confirming. Button details are model-specific, so follow the manual rather than applying a sequence from another ECAM family. The manual says, “Varying the temperature has most effect for long beverages.” See the ECAM family Instructions for Use.

ECAM32X.6Y–32X.7Y family: settings menu
For this family, De’Longhi’s manual describes opening the settings menu, scrolling to “Coffee temperature,” choosing “Set,” selecting one of the temperatures offered, and returning to the menu. The manual says, “The effect of varying the temperature is most noticeable with long drinks.” Follow the ECAM32X.6Y–32X.7Y Instructions for Use for the specific controls and options on your machine.
Make a cup taste hotter without changing the setting alone
For the ECAM 11.1XX–22.1XX family, De’Longhi also recommends running a rinse cycle before brewing and warming the cup with hot water. These steps complement selecting a hotter temperature; use your model’s manual for the rinse and hot-water controls. The manual notes that temperature changes have the greatest effect on long beverages, so a short drink may not show as much difference.

When to adjust the grinder instead
If coffee is too weak and not creamy enough, or it dispenses too slowly, the cited manuals describe grinder adjustment as a possible remedy. It is not the same as changing aroma or temperature. For the Dinamica ECAM350.35W, De’Longhi instructs users to turn the grinder dial only while the mill is operating and to adjust one click at a time. Consult the Dinamica Instructions for Use for the correct procedure for that machine.
